Blade Runner 2049 - hated it!  haaaaated it
Lady Bird - thought it was a bit above average
Molly's Game - this is really boring, wouldn't recommend it
Murder on the Orient Express - one of the worst movies I've ever seen

I actually really loved that year, movie-wise. It's right up there with 2012 and 2013 for me.

1.) Three Billboards in Ebbing, Missouri

2.) Baby Driver

3.) Atomic Blonde

4.) Wonder Woman

5.) Spiderman: Homecoming

6.) Call Me By Your Name

7,) Dunkirk

8.) Lady Bird

9.) Get Out

10.) Split

  • Certain Women
  • A Ghost Story

These are my standout films for last year.

Didn't think much or Wonder Woman, or Blade Runner '49

Some of those are 2016 releases, but that was a very good year for film.  My personal favourite of 2016 was Arrival, with Fences as a close second.

Living in the UK some of those films I mentioned didn't land here until 2017. But then again I rarely bother going the cinema these days, and neither do I watch many new releases when they become available on Netflix. I much prefer older classics or small indie films.
