This episode was "so much!"

As soon as everyone found out that Barry was The Flash I figured they'd bite it. You just can't have that many people knowing your secret. I also figured they'd torture us longer after Becky told us that she was going straight after she got out. So of course she didn't die with the others so her possible death will be even more depressing.

Honestly, out of all of the people we've been introduced to I felt the worst for her during her initial episode. She didn't seem like a bad person at all. I'm hoping there's still a way to save her. Arguably her power is the most powerful of all of the newbies. If Becky manages to get lucky and survive I hope her knowing allows her to work with team Flash.

Dominick didn't deserve to die at all. I still don't know why he had to in the first place. Although it is interesting the Cecile has telepathic abilities now. That has to be connected since it's rare for two people to have the same abilities on a show - well, unless you count Barry and Kid Flash but now one is gone and that served a clear purpose. It's also clear that he wants "specific" powers to do something but we still don't know what yet.

Devoe is getting "drunk" with power. I really wonder what his wife thought he was going to do once he started all of his body jumping. It's obvious she's coming around since she actively tried to block his telepathy.

Amunet bores me.

I'm both happy and annoyed that Cecile had to point out that metas are real and they exist as an explanation for why weird things happened when she should have mentioned that it could have been one that framed Barry, who would better know than anyone else how to cover up a crime scene, from the start.

Finally, I get why Barry wanted to get out "legally" so no one would continue to try and track him down as a fugitive. I do think it's silly no one thought about impersonating DeVoe earlier. It's not like they haven't done that before.

Another thing that annoys about Amunet, and that they don't catch her, is that apparently they all know exactly where to find her! Even if she has other metas working for her, and maybe some tech, she still shouldn't be that hard to take down.

I find it dismaying that this episode is being viewed through the prism of race.    I thought the idea of diversity in casting was to better reflect our multiracial society; instead, there's a lot of "but the black man" and "but the white woman."    It seems ironic and counterproductive.    I think the intention is that we should view the characters as humans and equals rather than as ambassadors of their ethnic/gender backgrounds.   JMO.

Katee Sackhoff is wonderful as Amunet.   I would give her a show of her own if I could.   She's so good that I didn't even realize it was Katee Sackhoff until this episode.   Went completely over my head in the previous eps.

Really enjoyable episode.

Amunet is brilliant. I hope she is a recurring villain throughout the series.

That scene at Joe's when Barry got out of prison was so sweet. The happiness was rather infectious.

So Barry is going to be facing a super powerful metahuman by the end of the season. That should be fun. I assume Marlize will have switched sides by then and help Barry get rid of all those powers that Devoe is absorbing.

Can we assume that Devoe is also getting the memories from all the people that he is absorbing? The conversation he was having with his wife about the song I think kind of implied that.

No, that was his own memory of the song. As Marlize said, it was the first song they had ever danced to.

The objection based upon race came largely from the purists who insisted that Iris and Wally couldn't possibly be black because they were always white in the comics.  The purists considered that to be an unnecessary and ridiculous violation of canon just for the sake of diversity.

And Amunet's British accent?  That was Katee's idea.  She thought it would make Amunet come across as more evil.

It took him a second to remember the song. Plus he said that now some things are more likely to come to the forefront of his mind than other things. Hence why I thought Devoe was gaining the memories of the people he is inhabiting.
