Kill Your Darlings, 2006. Starring Alexander Skarsgard, Fares Fares, Lolita Davidovitch, Julie Benz
This movie is so obscure I couldn't find a clip on You Tube, but from what I remember it features Skarsgard as a 6'3" transvestite on a roadtrip to Las Vegas. You can't make this stuff up.

Kill Your Darlings, 2013 looks totally different

Twister (1989)  --    Dylan McDermott, Crispin Glover, and Tim Robbins star in this comedy.

A Kansas family stays inside a sub-basement to avoid a tornado outside.   Now they have to face

an even bigger disaster --- each other.

Twister (1996)  --    Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt are tornado chasers who have to face off against

an "EVIL" group of tornado chasers.   How do you know they're evil????     They drive BLACK minivans.

Double Jeopardy (1955)  --   Lawyer Marc Hill helps clear the name of his girlfriend's father who is accused of murdering a man that was blackmailing him.   Rod Cameron, Gale Robbins, and Allison Hayes star.

Double Jeopardy (1992)  --  When his lover (Rachel Ward) is accused of murder, a Salt Lake City family man (Bruce Boxleitner) is her eyewitness and his wife (Sela Ward) is her attorney.

Double Jeopardy  (1999)  ---  Framed for the murder of her husband, Libby Parsons (Ashley Judd) survives the long years in prison with two burning desires sustaining her -- finding her son and solving the mystery that destroyed her once-happy life. Standing between her and her quest, however, is her parole officer, Travis Lehman (Tommy Lee Jones).

To Be or Not to Be (1942): A black comedy starring Carole Lombard [in her last role] and Jack Benny as a clashing married theatrical couple who do all they can to save their loved ones in Warsaw after the 1939 NAZI takeover.

To Be or Not to Be (1983): starring Mel Brooks and his RL wife Anne Bancroft in virtually the same plot as above but with some different touches. The usually dramatic serious performer Miss Bancroft displays excellent comic timing here.

It's been 41 years since the last remake, could we be due for one in 2024?

So it’s Same Name, Almost Same Movie?

Pretty much. I love the second one better then the first. It's funny and the only time Mel Brooks and his wife are in the same movie. The only bad thing about the first is Carole Lombard was killed in a plane crash after the movie. They went back and cut her line "What could happen on a plane?"
