Rewatch 2016

Me too, me too! (I haven't watched before, other than the first episode watched at a time when I was absolutely not able to commit to watching a new TV show.)

I'm okay to start soon, but I guess one question is – do we want to set an approximate pace that we'll try to more or less keep up with, or do we want to just have everyone go at their own pace?

There are 36 episodes total; I think the outer limits on what's reasonable are one a week (too slow – we wouldn't finish until February!) to one a day (finish ~end of July, but maybe hard to keep up with).

Well, looks like I'll have a fast start, I'm watching ep 3 already and will probably also watch 4 today. And then hope to finish the season tomorrow.  However, come Monday, it'll come to screeching halt.  I have class after work on Monday, Tues-Thurs multiple people from other states (my boss in SD, team members in St Louis, vendor from Arkansas) will all be town for work.  Add to that the Twin Cities Improv Festival starting on Wed and going through Sunday and I just won't have any time again until the 28th.

Okay, I'm forcing myself to stop with Episode 8 - I get sucked into shows and watch the episodes one after the other (it's how I finished three seasons of GoT in two weekends, including staying up until almost 3 am on a Sunday night/Monday morning to finish the Season 4 finale....)

I can't stop myself - I never met a marathon I could resist, and this is my excuse for procrastinating the dreaded new "smart" TV setup (yes, my old TV finally died, and my online options are limited to the few paltry choices that will play on this old XP laptop, which happens to include HBOGO!).

Greetings, cocksuckers! I am joining in - better late than never. Started yesterday and planning to watch about an episode a day. Started last night with episode 1. It's the first time I've rewatched since the original screening, and damn, it's great to see all these people again.

Nice of you to join us, purist - help yourself to some canned peaches (unauthorized cinnamon optional)!  :-)

so is anyone still watching, or am I too late to the party? I finished Season One in a day, and am on episode 2 in Season 2. I'm trying to slow down. There won't be anymore Timothy Olyphant left to watch after this- I already saw Damages, where he left an impression but I didn't pay too much attention; then Justified, which made me a fan for life, and now this. He doesn't have any other TV series left after this, I don't think.

But though TO was the reason I began this show, I'm continuing because it is so damn amazing for so many things! Pretty much every minute of every episode- so far.

Oh, fantastic. So strictly speaking I'm only a decade behind you  ;-)

Having raced through Season 1 at breakneck speed means I missed a ton, which is now bothering me. I really should slow down. "Everything in moderation," (as I think Al said- while speeding one of his goons on their way to beating the living crap out of someone or the other, lol).

I'll get more out of the show if I discipline myself,so I will keep pace with other posters.  Btw I'm so surprised and happy to find myself actually watching it with others- years after it ended. Thank you so much for starting this thread, curiousparker! I'll start posting on episode threads in season one.

I'm reading your comments, purist, but I'm so far ahead now (almost done with season 3) that I dare not reply.  By binging and having everything blend together I'm afraid of mentioning things that happen in later episodes.  It's up to you if you want to continue or not.  Thanks for putting the time into writing recaps.

Incidentally, whomever it was (you?) who said season 3 was not as good is spot on.  I'm having trouble getting through 3 after blowing through 1 and 2, multiple episodes a day.  (Also distracted by the Olympics.)  Too many side stories of characters I care nothing about.  The only bright spot is Ian McShane who continues to be brilliant.

That said (earlier today), holy moley!  I watched epis 10 and 11 this afternoon and was on the edge of my seat!  Such tension!  Can't wait to see what happens in 12!
