Athena April 27, 2016 Share April 27, 2016 Episode Synopsis: Bran trains with the Three-Eyed Raven. In King’s Landing, Jaime advises Tommen. Tyrion demands good news, but has to make his own. At Castle Black, the Night’s Watch stands behind Thorne. Ramsay Bolton proposes a plan, and Balon Greyjoy entertains other proposals. This topic is for speculation about what might happen in episode 2 only. Please do not speculate beyond episode 2 or on season 6 as a whole; if you wish to do that use one of the appropriate topics in the forum. Link to comment
Lady S. April 28, 2016 Share April 28, 2016 I'm guessing one of the proposals is for Balon to jump off a bridge. (Moment of panic when I realized I posted this lame joke in the wrong thread, but I deleted it.) 1 Link to comment
BlackberryJam April 28, 2016 Share April 28, 2016 Is Balon going to try to marry off Yara? I want to demand good news. Does it work that way? We also know from the previews that Brienne tells Sansa about Arya and Jaime has his chittychat with the High Sparrow. Is this also the "I choose violence" episode from Cersei? Did I see that in the previews? It seems rational that in an episode entitled Home, we see Sam and Gilly on the ship and arriving at Horn Hill. Link to comment

I hope Tyrion doesn't decide to make his own good news by releasing the dragons. There is a scene from the season 6 trailer where Lancel, backed by a group of sparrows, tells Cersei to tell Frankengregor to step aside or there will be violence, and Cersei informs him "I choose violence." The 6x02 promo scene had Cersei and Frankengregor facing down a bunch of Lannister soldiers in what appeared to be similar surroundings as the scene from the season 6 trailer. Could be related, could be unrelated. We know from the promo and ep description that the following storylines will be covered in 6x02: Bran, Arya, Winterfell, the Wall, Sansa, King's Landing, Tyrion, and Yara. No sign of Sam, Dany or Dorne. Edited April 28, 2016 by Eyes High Link to comment
stillshimpy April 28, 2016 Share April 28, 2016 I want to demand good news. Does it work that way? Right? Tryion: I demand that you tell me some good news! Whoever he's addressing: There's at least a 90% chance I won't hit you in the next five minutes, but that is subject to change. I mean, I get it to an extent. "Tell me what we have in our favor!" "Tell me what plans are going well!" You can demand a list of positives in a situation "give the good news first!" but....yeah, different tang than "demand". For instance, apparently there will be both Ramsay and Iron Islanders with which to contend in this episode. Good news is apparently already in short supply. Link to comment
SeanC April 28, 2016 Share April 28, 2016 I'm guessing Theon decides to head back to the Iron Islands, then we get the Yara scenes and ruh roh, Balon's dead, what's Theon unknowingly getting himself into! Link to comment
Lady S. April 29, 2016 Share April 29, 2016 I'm still wondering how Theon goes back without the separation from Sansa feeling abrupt. Do they just give him the Gendry treatment and push him off in a rowboat? Though it makes sense that Sansa hearing about Arya would remind him of his own sister and make him want to correct their last encounter. Link to comment

Maximum Taco April 29, 2016 Share April 29, 2016 (edited) Usually the episode title has multiple meanings so. Home - Bran returns to Winterfell (in his dream) - Sam and Gilly arrive at Oldtown/Horn Hill - Theon (and Yara?) heads for (and arrives at?) Pyke. Side question: Is Yara still in the North (Deepwood Motte) in the show? - Cersei asserts herself at King's Landing (after Kevin asks her to return to Casterly Rock?) - Tommen tells Jaime to bring Margaery "home" to the Red Keep. From the promo photos she's on Pyke. I'm not sure how Theon gets to the Iron Islands, though. I mean physically. It's not like there's a regular ferry service. GrailKing April 29, 2016 Share April 29, 2016 (edited) I'm thinking the easiest solution is the best, they head towards the North a house still loyal to the Starks intercepts them, Sansa orders or persuades them to escort Theon to a western site (Mallester's) and put him on board a ship, for saving her.
