I watched a show recently where they were talking about how sitcoms made it to the air and other interesting things about a show. For I Love Lucy they were filmed in front of a live audience. They used a laugh track, but the laughter from the live audience was louder and was so good, they ended up selling it to other sitcoms.

I sure do miss the December airings that CBS used to give us, colorizing episodes. Though I have to admit the one for the Hollywood fashion show were Lucy was sunburned and wore that HIDEOUS Tweed Suit, I could have done without! Eh, @Cobalt Stargazer?

And I remember a special where one of the writers said that "Lucy Does The Tango" had the longest audience laughter in history, when she smashed into Ricky's chest and all the egg yolks dripped through her shirt and Lucy couldn't manage to fold her arms. I think "L.A. at Last!" where she sets her nose on fire would be a tie. I know I laugh so hard at both my tummy aches!😂😂😂😂

You can sometimes hear I Love Lucy laughtrack on other programs--"Uh oh" was Lucy's mother.

I watch Claim to Fame, a reality show where relatives of celebrities try to guess who each other is related to.  There's a doofus on this season who doesn't know anything about celebrities.  Someone guessed that someone's relative is Desi Arnaz.  He not only didn't know who Desi was and had never seen I Love Lucy, but he had never heard of I Love Lucy.  Made me kinda sad. 

Of course, he could just be tricking everyone into thinking he's ignorant.

MeTV appears to be changing their Sunday line-up. They are airing 1 episode of I Love Lucy at 12:30 pm ET today.

Interesting that they’re not starting with the pilot, but the end of five-while they’re still in Europe. But I don’t care! It’s back after four years!

According to my DVR grid, it looks like there'll be one episode each Sunday.  So far, my grid only indicates the next two weeks: Pioneer Women on Sept. 8 and Lucy and Superman on Sept. 15.

Two weeks out is typically how far out the guide allows. That’s how it was with ComXcrap and how it is on FiOS.

What’s odd is the random out of order airings instead of starting with Season one. But that’s a small nitpick. Like I stated above-I’m just happy it’s back!

I don’t know why MeTV is airing episodeA out of order and also seasons, but I’m just too happy seeing Lucy back on my screen! Real life got in the way so I’ve been saving the episodes and am watching “Pioneer Women” and am 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 when the loaf of bread slams out!

And on a shallow note, Lucille had such beautiful hands and nails.

MeTV is in spooky mode this weekend because, apparently, when the calendar says October, it's spooky time. Never mind that Halloween is weeks away. 🙄
