When we would come home back in Ohio I would have a southern accent for like a month. It wasnt on purpose, it just happened. Then it would go away and I couldnt get it back unless I tried really hard. One thing that really disappoints me is no matter how hard I try.... CattyTiger September 21, 2015 Share September 21, 2015 I'm from Tennessee, had a bad flat accent that I worked hard to lose, but when I went down to Auburn for school, I picked up their AL southern accent. Schoo for school, sto for store, added a few extra syllables to words. I minored in Spanish. Still to this day, I'll sometimes write or say English the way I would in Spanish grammar. Never know what's lurking in the old brain.:) 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/31640-the-view-week-of-091415/page/9/#findComment-1525511

They also often conjugate verbs in strange ways. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/31640-the-view-week-of-091415/page/9/#findComment-1526185
