Kromm August 1, 2015 Share August 1, 2015 Actually contrary to the title, there will only be ONE reboot now (but perhaps sequels). The dumb-ass idea to have parallel female and male franchises has (wisely) been dumped. Or at least the male version's existence was denied when Ivan Reitman was asked about it. http://www.digitalspy.com/movies/news/a661061/dont-cross-the-streams-there-is-only-one-ghostbusters-film-in-the-works.html#~pk6VMe5Xowhycd Link to comment

questionfear August 3, 2015 Share August 3, 2015 I am already excited for this movie because I have adored Kate McKinnon since her "Big Gay Sketch Show" days, but given how many haters there are, I'm seriously contemplating just organizing mass repeat viewings to drive the ticket prices up. Even if it sucks, just to stick it to the haters. 3 Link to comment
Bruinsfan August 3, 2015 Share August 3, 2015 I love three out of the four actresses, and am willing to put up with Kristen Wiig for another couple of hours in order to see them. 2 Link to comment
VCRTracking August 9, 2015 Share August 9, 2015 If true this could be a cool cameo by an OG Ghostbuster: Bill Murray has been spotted on the set of the new Ghostbusters reboot, but his role has been a mystery... until now! It just so happens that the script for the movie specifies which role was written for Bill Murray, so I can tell you that he's playing... MARTIN HEIS!!!! Okay, that name means nothing to you because it's a new character in this new rebooted universe. Martin Heiss is a professional supernatural debunker, a sort of an Amazing Randi type, who shows up and 'proves' the new Ghostbusters are fakes. It's a really tiny role, and it's sort of the mirror image of where we meet Peter Venkman at the start of Ghostbusters II. http://birthmoviesdeath.com/2015/08/09/bill-murray-to-debunk-the-all-new-ghostbusters Link to comment
Spartan Girl August 10, 2015 Share August 10, 2015 Dammit I wanted him to be Venkman again. Oh well, at least he's cameoing. Link to comment
Kromm August 10, 2015 Author Share August 10, 2015 Dammit I wanted him to be Venkman again. Oh well, at least he's cameoing. That would require this to be a sequel to the original though and not a reboot. And I think they've indicated for sure that this is a reboot. At least that's the impression I've been getting. Link to comment
JBC344 August 10, 2015 Share August 10, 2015 Considering this is going to be a reboot, it would be interesting if they have Bill and Dan still play their characters but in this version they never became The Ghostbusters. Sort of like an alternate universe where Dan and Bill are still their scientists characters just not Ghostbusters. It would be a good way for them to reprise their characters but not actually effect the new storyline. Honestly for all I know Bill is playing Venkman, they are just trying to keep it a secret. JBC344 August 11, 2015 Share August 11, 2015 Poor Ernie Hudson. Forgotten again!!! What is the deal with that anyway? I feel Ernie is always left out of any Ghostbusters discussion. Arguably the man has the best resume out of all four actors post Ghostbusters. Bill may be the famous, but Ernie always surprises me. Link to comment
AstaCharles August 11, 2015 Share August 11, 2015 Could be a SNL/Second City thing. The role was originally for Eddie Murphy. I hope Bill is playing Venkman. Link to comment
