What's amusing about the idea of the support group, is that there really is no one else ABC could put there. All its other 10 pm shows have pretty strong female leads. The men are all secondary, at best.

So true. Maybe if ABC had moved Resurrection to 10 on Sunday you could put in Omar Epps character there. I think the sexy men of ABC is better promo. This comes across as Castle and Vaughn sitting in a room lol. I wasn't even expecting it to show up in prime time this quick but at least ABC tried.

Wow, it feels like forever since the boys and Lanie were at the loft! I wouldn't mind seeing them socialise together there occasionally over poker games or meals, especially as the show seems determined not to show them socialising anywhere else. Over a dead body doesn't count. ;) I didn't miss them at the wedding to be honest, but it's nice that we get a 'finding out' scene after they inexplicably skipped over that juicy part with them when Caskett got together.

It'd be fun to see Caskett being nauseatingly sweet/grossing the guys out in honeymoon mode in the loft, if but for a second.

Since we got to see so precious little of their so called "honeymoon period" in S5 it would be nice if their genuine honeymoon period after their wedding could last longer than the next episode and then it's over.

I'll never forgive the writers for preventing Tamala her moment to shine finding out about Castle and Beckett hooking up since she had been the one who had been cheerleading them on all the way since S1. Her reaction would have been brilliant. I felt so let down in Probable Cause when it's obvious she got told off screen.

Poker games seem to be a definite thing of the past but they can go out for a meal or go around to Ryan and Jenny's house, how difficult is that to pull off?  Couples do that all the time, it would make their friendships seem more honest than everyone's lives revolving around the precinct all the time. They could still talk about a case or bring something up that's part of the B story for Castle and Beckett that week and involve the rest of the team in the discussion.

I too thought the wedding party was perfect as it was.  A reason why they never hooked me with the wedding planning theme all season was that their decision making process and actual decisions about the wedding never really felt like them to me.  From Beckett's choice of a ghastly over the top dress (OK, earlier than that, the ghastly proposal never felt like 'them' to me either but anyway..) to them wanting to invite hundreds of people to their wedding.  Going from wanting an outdoor wedding to an indoor one in a hall.  It seemed like they never knew what they really wanted out of their most special day so it was hard for me to care about all the superficial talk about trappings.

Thankfully, they pared down everything to the essential heart of it all in the wedding we got. 2 people in love telling each other how much they mean to each other and committing themselves to a life together.  That's all I wanted.

I don't think we necessarily had to go through everything in FBFW to get here but that's another issue.

I'll take the break room even, if the budget's that tight. ;)

Now that there are 3 couples on the show (I guess Esplanie counts ;)), they could have some fun with some competition or bets between them.

Castle Sneak Peek: Rick and Kate Hit the Honeymoon Jackpot at TV Line.

Oh Castle is going to be in his element (and Nathan) with this, "do you hear that Beckett do you hear them calling to me....your wait is over my golden friends I'm here to save you.."

Of course we know what's not in that box. Heh

I sense Beckett will be doing a lot of eye rolling in this episode.

I see Luke has been spending his weekly clothing budget...on Beckett.

Like who will get pregnant first? Although obviously Jenny's got the head start on that with her first one out already.

I'd prefer them not to have everyone get hooked up as a couple on the show, for once I agree with Jon he wasn't so keen on the idea either. Espo doesn't seem the settling down type in any case, I can't see him playing happy families.

YouTube of the sneak. Totally reminds me of when Castle was so into the treasure map from Under The Gun. This time we get to see what's in this chest.

IA, just let Espo be the single man dating everyone and let Lanie move on with some hot guy that shows up once in awhile. Would love to see a dinner scene at the loft with Caskett, Lanie and Lanie's guy. It's been a while since anyone had a meal there that wasn't family.

turnitwayup.Yeah I remember that one! Loved it.

Castle episodes always work better for me when Nathan is clearly energized in the role and I can see him being on top form in this one. I was always upset in Under the Gun that we never got to see Beckett giving him a hot, sweaty hug we just heard about it. Hopefully she'll be giving him more than that in this episode!

I'm with you on Lanie.

Love Beckett there, she really doesn't look that thrilled. No wonder she picked something else.I couldn't give a toss about the mythology but getting Nathan more enthused is definitely a good thing since there were times over the last few seasons it looked like he was sleepwalking through it.

What's going to be great about this episode is that we get them out of that gloomy precinct having fun and not going through the usual COTW routines.

I see Nadine (good call!) has already posted on the media thread but just to warn anyone not wanting to get told too much that they've released a screener of this one. So tumblr and twitter will be awash with them soon.

Good old Kate Jennings has already seen it and given TPW an A+, she'll be posting a review later and others no doubt will follows suit - some way more spoilery than others.

Edited by verdana

Maybe ABC read my post about the promoting 7.07 as opposed to 7.06 on the previous page *sniggers*. Joking, but I'm unsurprised they released a screener for 7.07.

Considering it was released so late on a Friday night, my cynical side can't help but wonder if the low(er than probably expected) ratings for an episode where they got married (during sweeps too) may have triggered them to release a screener for this episode. Build up hype so whatever viewers have tuned out can be woo'd back? Just a thought. They seemed to promote both eps together very heavily so this also could be part of that strategy to emphasize this ep more than 7.06? Who knows. lol

But do screeners really bring fans back or increase ratings that much? I can't see general viewers knowing much about them (especially this late on) only online fans and they're the type that would tune in any way half the time.

This group shot is so cute with Nathan, the little boy standing on the chair, Jon and Seamus.

Nathan is wearing yet another bulky dark boring looking jacket but otherwise he looks good.

Castle - Once Upon A Time in the West - Advance Preview - Spoiler TV

Like Beckett's quip about the writers on this one.

Looking forward to the end of the episode, I suspect this might be where the badass Beckett comes in which was mentioned ages ago in some article.

And another which is not too spoilery but obviously if you don't want to know anything much at all then don't look.

TVLine's Performer of the Week: Selfie's Karen Gillan

Nathan gets a shout out.

HONORABLE MENTION | Once you bought into the premise of Castle’s reality-warping episode, the payoff was the glory of Nathan Fillion as a humorously hapless fish-out-of-water desperate to — again! — prove his value to the crimesolvers at the 12th precinct. Fillion-as-rascal never does not entertain, as Rick skulked around corners and wormed his way into interrogation rooms, or endeavored to “explain” his delusion to Captain Beckett, saying of his new novel’s main character, “I’ve fallen in love with her. I eat with her, sleep with her” (all the while alluding to the “real” deal back home). Then, once the alt-reality ended, Fillion melted Caskett-loving hearts with his twinkly eyed delivery of Rick’s heartfelt wedding vows. How could one not say, “I do” to this endearing performance?

WARNING. This one isn't that spoilery word wise (although it does give you a few quotes) BUT it does give you some pictures and one of them is the end shot of the episode so beware.  I like the opening title card.

They might if more mainstream TV websites did a preview, but from what I can see, the ones that have aren't in line with the likes of TV Guide, EW or The Hollywood Reporter. Heck, not even TV Line or GMMR bit and did a sneak peek review. So if they wanted to build hype among the average non-fandom dwelling viewer...it didn't happen. Yet. lol Maybe it still will Monday. I've noticed some of these TV website writers tend to get salty about working over the weekend sometimes if they don't know about it in advance. ;)

It got to me that they did that and I've read all of them I'm so shameless but that was a shitty move. It got posted on tumblr too of course but I was surprised these reviewers casually went and did it without giving the reader any prior warning as they're reading down especially when they go and say "that's all I'm going to say for now" yeah but then you go and give away the end scene like that!

Edited by verdana

Kate Jennings is rather more well behaved in her preview, if you were going to read any one of them this would probably be the best at giving to you a few snippets without giving away too much, although she does answer some twitter questions from fans at the end you may want to skip.

'Castle' 7x07 Preview: Cops & Cowboys

She gives it high praise (if you know Kate Jennings this is no shock) but she almost goes as far as to compare it with another TPW outing Cops & Robbers which is one of my favourite TPW outings and one of the best ever. I shall see on Monday if it lives up to the hype she's given it.

Well, at least Nathan's 2.67 million Twitter followers saw it.

Wow, I missed this in all my excitement over the screener.  He sure does love twitter and for stars these days it pays to have a following so you can promote your work. I tried to think of a star in a similar show at his level and so checked out his great "rival" David B and he's only scraping over 600K. Nathan's pal William Shatner I note has just celebrated hitting 2 million, he's great.

Not surprised the end scene is what it was revealed to be, but all the same, they really shouldn't be revealing that kind of thing in a preview!

Any guesses as to what Castle's romantic skill is?  Get your head out of the gutter. :P  And I'm not sure they'll actually spend any meaningful time in the bedroom on their honeymoon.  There might be a better chance of it being comedic rather than romantic.  ;)

And oh, let's see if Espo is going to be a pain again.

Edited by madmaverick

Thanks, S55.

"Stana carries a folder a lot." Heh.  Love Beckett's jacket and that hoodie thing she's wearing, but Castle's jacket is ugly and unimpressive as usual.  Can't Mrs. Castle help Mr. Beckett out with his wardrobe now that they are married? ;)

Espo's scarf is... really purple.  Not really feeling that look.  He's the second worse dressed after Castle.

Nathan looks funny doing whatever he's doing with those binoculars there.  That whole sequence of pics is funny.  He realises he's being spied on as he's attempting to spy on somebody.  Lol at him getting out the mirror to comb his hair.  Now if only he could pay as much attention to his clothes as he does his hair!

Nice to see some smiles all around.

Castle had better show Kate a good time and that his romantic skills aren't lacking to make up for the disappointment at finding herself...at a dude ranch for her honeymoon.

As for Espo, I really don't want to be annoyed by a character all the time, especially when there is no obvious reason behind why they're acting in a particular way.

S55. Thanks for those BTS shots.

I want to hold a ceremonial bonfire and burn every jacket Castle owns.

I love purple but that scarf isn't doing it for me.

Nathan mentioned on twitter that he's "got an Edward" for that, I wonder if he's on hand to make sure he's doing it right? He does look funny whatever it is he's up to.

It would be fantastic if they would have an episode where Kate takes Mr Beckett's wardrobe in hand and she's hooking out all these horrible bulky jackets, plaid and endless blue button-downs and replacing with some lovely well tailored jackets and sweaters. *sigh*

TwoCentsTV Top 10 List – Top TV Moments from Nov 9 – Nov 15

Castle fans, it finally happened! We were treated not only to a moment we’ve been waiting for since the season six finale but also a look at an alternate universe where Rick and Kate never met and never solved that first copycat murder. While that gave us so many awesome callbacks to not only earlier seasons but also to the original pilot script, the top moment of the episode goes when after Rick’s encounter he decides that nothing should keep them from living their lives as they had planned all those months ago. That’s when we see them in the Hamptons surrounded by Jim, Martha, and Alexis, trading the loveliest vows and having their first dance as Mr. and Mrs. Castle. Such a lovely episode written by Terri Miller.

I want to hold a ceremonial bonfire and burn every jacket Castle owns.

A dude ranch isn't a bad place to get a bonfire going.  They did start a striptease, so jacket burning could be next.  Dude ranch becomes nudist colony and maybe Beckett will be more on board with it as a honeymoon locale. :P

I spy an Edward now!  Nathan seems to be doing rather interesting hand gestures in his conversation with Jon.  "It's that big, no, it's that big." :P  And is he putting on lip balm in that last pic?  The secret to his soft lips, described as such by Penny and Tamala heh.

Espo's scarf is... really purple.  Not really feeling that look.  He's the second worse dressed after Castle.

Yep, the guy walking by in the grey puffy vest and earmuffs is dressed better in casualwear than Castle and Espo. I miss sweater Castle from the early seasons. I don't know why that couldn't be an option for the winter eps. For a character that has been skiing he must have some decent casual/maybe tnf softshell jacket to break up the endless heavy, bulky outerwear that he gets stuck with. It seems that Castle only owns wool coats, blazers and the weird unflattering big pockets lightweight jackets over the many solid and plaid button down shirts. That light brown coat on Espo is not a good length for him. It kinda looks like an unflattering women's jacket from behind. The whole color palette he's wearing would probably look better on Beckett.

Maybe Luke could subscribe to the New York Times Sunday edition? They used to have a section on what people were wearing on the street, usually women but often men.

Perhaps he's just lived in warm weather too long and doesn't know what New Yorkers wear?

I really hope those heavy looking jackets are not actually wool etc.  Tempretures in Los Angeles seem to be in the mid-twenties in November. They must be sweating ! Never mind the clothing bill, what must the dry cleaning bill be like!

My first thought was ... 20 in Los Angeles? It never gets that cold in LA. Is it really 20 in LA right now? I'm surprised I haven't heard on the news how everyone in LA is literally freezing.

And then I realized you probably meant 20 degrees Celsius, which is like 70 degrees, and it all makes much, much more sense.

One constant in all these previews is that this episode should be good classic Castle fun, I do hope they're right.

In that first picture of Nathan with the binoculars, you see Edward standing by. ;)

Ha! That's even better. I can't recall getting a synopsis for this one but those pictures sure do have me intrigued.
