ChelseaNH December 5, 2014 Share December 5, 2014 Was reading somewhere how his character isn't supposed to be such a great fighter, so he kind of had to relearn how to do fight scenes. Link to comment
Michele December 8, 2014 Share December 8, 2014 Woo hoo! Christian Kane back on my screen! Hopefully his hair grows out. :) According to the AMA that Dean Devlin did earlier today, they wanted to create a whole new character with Jake, and it seems like that included cutting his hair. Doesn't look like it'll be growing out any time soon, sadly. 1 Link to comment
sydneyjane December 8, 2014 Share December 8, 2014 Christian is the reason why I'm giving this show a try. I miss him, since ION stopped the Leverage reruns. It's going to be hard not seeing him as the tough, but sensitive, guy, though. Link to comment
Hanahope December 8, 2014 Author Share December 8, 2014 Yeah, the haircut fits with the character. Not too sure about those scarves though. I mean really, scarves on a 'cowboy'? 2 Link to comment
ChelseaNH December 8, 2014 Share December 8, 2014 What are bandannas if not scarves? You want something to filter the dust when the wind kicks up. Link to comment
Gigi43 December 8, 2014 Share December 8, 2014 Yeah, the haircut fits with the character. Not too sure about those scarves though. I mean really, scarves on a 'cowboy'? As a Leverage fan, seeing Christian/Jake with the scarves made me think Eliot's now stealing from Hardison's closet these days. 6 Link to comment
Hanahope December 8, 2014 Author Share December 8, 2014 Oh yeah, totally, those are Hardison's scarves. I might agree with bandanas, but I don't think there's much dust in Oregon. 1 Link to comment
louise Shive December 8, 2014 Share December 8, 2014 So happy to see Christian Kane back on the screen. He inhabits his Jake Stone character convincingly. It will be fun to watch his skills grow. Link to comment
cassandle December 9, 2014 Share December 9, 2014 As a Leverage fan, seeing Christian/Jake with the scarves made me think Eliot's now stealing from Hardison's closet these days. In photos of Christian at the premier of a movie he did this past spring (50 to 1--great little movie BTW) he was wearing a scarf like that. So I think it's Christian stealing from Hardison's closet and Jake stealing from Christian's closet. Either way Christian Kane is back on my TV and I'm happy. 2 Link to comment
romantic idiot December 10, 2014 Share December 10, 2014 (edited) Woo hoo! Christian Kane back on my screen! Hopefully his hair grows out. :) I hope it doesn't. The haircut was one of the best things about the pilot, for me. Edited December 10, 2014 by romantic idiot 5 Link to comment
formerlyfreedom December 25, 2014 Share December 25, 2014 I will follow Christian Kane to the ends of the earth. So I'm THRILLED he's in a show that I'm enjoying so much! 3 Link to comment
Hanahope January 14, 2015 Author Share January 14, 2015 Not sure if its simply the weather, or the clothing people are deliberately dressing Jake in slightly overly large shirts to hide his very well defined musculature. Hopefully if they get another season (so far the ratings seem decent enough, for TNT at least), and they "develop" his fighting skills more, we'll get to see Chris/Jake in better shirts. Us girls can only hope. :) 2 Link to comment
cassandle January 14, 2015 Share January 14, 2015 I think they're dressing Stone as Christian Kane. I randomly crossed paths with him last year (twice in one week!) and both times he was dressed pretty much like Stone--a million layers and cargo pants. I probably wouldn't have noticed except I remember thinking it was odd because it wasn't really cold out. No, that's a lie--I would have noticed regardless because he's freaking Christian Kane. Ahem. Anyhoo, I'd swear in the science fair episode he had a giant (very hard to see) #7 on the back of his shirt which is something Elliot did too (in the private school episode?) and I think CK has a thing about the number 7. I think Leverage ruined us with all the tight t-shirts and wife-beaters. It's definitely made it hard for me to rewatch Angel...having to see him in those ridiculously-large suits. Link to comment
Hanahope January 15, 2015 Author Share January 15, 2015 I think Leverage ruined us with all the tight t-shirts and wife-beaters. Very true. We got nice glimpses of Hardison/Aldis Hodge too. If they are dressing Jake as Christian Kane, I wonder if the same holds true for the others, particularly Cassandra/Lindsay Booth. Link to comment
cassandle January 16, 2015 Share January 16, 2015 Ha, CK or his people linked the "Kane is Able" recap praising Jake/Christian on his facebook page. I wonder if they noticed the not-as-flattering, "make Ezekiel less of an ass" complaint at the end. Link to comment
Mulva January 19, 2015 Share January 19, 2015 I've been a fan of his since Angel, so I'm glad he's back on the screen. I just wish they'd beef up his role and make him a full librarian. Link to comment
SnoGirl January 20, 2015 Share January 20, 2015 The number seven is a Kane thing...I believe it's in one of his songs as a "Rule Number Seven." (Okay, I can still sing the song lyric. I'm stightly embarrassed but my college roomies and I loved that song and played ot before any of our house parties). I don't know why he loves that number but I'm pretty sure it's not a fluke. I love how Jake dresses but I'm not a fan of the scarves. I can't put my finger on it, but I'm just not a fan of them. Link to comment
Hanahope January 20, 2015 Author Share January 20, 2015 Was great seeing Chris able to use some of his real fighting skills in the season finale episode. Link to comment
