S02.E16: Missing While Witnessed

Totally thought that it was the grieving mother.  Especially when Jamie was able to uncover her lie.

Did not see it coming that it'd be Amy, the "work wife."  Or that the man who'd done the actual snatching would be her boyfriend.  And as an added layer of shock, I was absolutely stunned that the "Good Samaritan," Wendy, was tied to them both!  Totally got why she got the obstruction charge, though.  If she had just been honest with Gabi and the rest of M&A that her son and his girlfriend were the ones behind things, then Peter could have been rescued a lot sooner.

So Heather is not connected to Sir, after all.  But she wants to represent him for the notoriety.  Although it was absolutely necessary of her to point out Trent's hypocrisy regarding her vs. Gabi, Trent was right, too -- Gabi and the team do only do it for the greater good and to protect the innocent.  And for the most part, their law-breaking is typically within reason.  What is Heather's excuse to represent a monster?

Sir is totally going to escape soon, isn't he?  And that guard who gave him the book is totally being groomed to help him.

What is with this visit from Jamie at the end?

Good episode.  But why the two-week break this time?

I knew Heather was off when she eagerly inserted herself into the Sir/Trent/Gabi of it all, but everything in this episode, from those ridiculously obtuse conversations with Trent, to her odd interaction with Sir, really gave certified weirdo. She might not be previously connected to Sir but there’s a creepy, intentional maliciousness behind her actions that feel like more than just ambition or career aspirations.

On the Jamie front, I’m super bored by the glacial progression of the mystery. I just want answers.

I think we might just possibly be getting closer to knowing the truth about Jamie, or at least we might be close in a few more years. This plot is moving at the speed it takes bones to fossilize, hopefully Jamie's meeting with Sir will give us some answers. At least Margaret is considering letting the rest of her family know about his miraculous return, I wonder how that is going to go. Is Taylor going to take one look at him and say "I don't think that's Jamie"?

The flashbacks to Margarete and her family are sad, its hard to judge her for her grief and panic about losing her son, but she does still have two kids she's forgotten about, and it seems like that never really changed.

The case of the week was good, I thought that it was the grieving mother, or that she had actually hurt the kid and Peter figured it out, I did not see it being the work wife and her boyfriend, and I really did not suspect that the first witness was in on it. Poor Peter, enemies left and right even though he didn't do anything to deserve them. Its nice and all that she got the ball rolling but she absolutely deserved to be charged with obstruction, Peter could have overdosed in that bathroom while they decided on what to do with him, her son is a full grown man who made his own bad choices, all three of them suck.

I liked them going into the bystander effect a bit with all of the witnesses, and of course someone was recording everything and posted it online instead of helping or calling the cops. Not cool.

Heather is so fucking weird, did she really think that Trent would just be happy to go back to her after she started working to release the guy who kidnapped and held his good friend prisoner and has done the same and worse? Who broke into his house to threaten him? All for the free publicity and for her career?

Gabbi's house is gorgeous, as were all of her outfits, especially that one with the coat.

Heather is really weird. I don't know why she's defending Sir. She said for notoriety but she really doesn't get why Trent is against. He broke into his apartment. He kidnapped Gabi and Lacey. Of course he's against it.

Sir's going to escape soon. That stinks. I want him to stay in jail or die. I'm so tired of him.

Poor Peter his work wife kidnapped him to kill him because she made a mistake. His next door neighbor becomes the father he never had and the man's son hates him. Dude, hate your father. Not him.

So Sir does know "Jamie". Of course he does.

This show is so bonkers. I spend half of my time mentally yelling “That’s not how anything works!”

Did this whole episode take place over one day? I truly don’t understand how time works on this show.

Heather representing Sir feels like a pivot away from a storyline where she was his accomplice/sister and I think that’s why Christian got airlocked. I mean Heather still sucks but I think she sucks differently now.

Jamie is still a dick and I’m done hearing about how the DNA database is backed up. You can buy a DNA test online or at any drugstore which brings me back to “That’s not how anything works!”

We never saw who was the accomplice in the episode where Gabi disappeared, right? It could still be Heather, couldn't it? We don't know for sure.

She says she's just out for the notoriety, which is still creepy, but it's also a hell of a coincidence that she was hooking up with "Heavy Boots" before we found out she was Sir's lawyer. That's more than just "ambitious lawyer looking for a high profile case to make a name out of".

And the actress is playing her with the crazy eyes and uncomprehending psychopath attitude when she is arguing with Trent in this episode.

I mean, yes, somebody has to be his lawyer. But she is acting like she can't imagine why Trent is upset and doesn't want to keep dating her. A person could reasonably decide to represent him and also comprehend why they can't date one of the people he attcked.

This Jamie arc is taking so long, now I'm back to thinking he's not really Jamie. It's really ridiculous that no one is trying to get more info on him 'for Margaret's sake'. And they're trying to make Jamie's kidnapper a big reveal, but does it really matter when we don't know anyone from Margaret's past except her immediate family?

Not sure what to think of Jamie visiting Sir. But I don't like that it's probably going to add more crazy to his arc.

Crazy case though; several twists I didn't see coming.

I'm still not ruling out Heather having some previous connection to Sir.  Kinda weird/convenient that she's dating the ex of the woman who was the victim of her client. Not to mention, she's also representing the brother of the guy who shot her, who was supposedly his accomplice.

So Sir's got friends inside and apparently outside of jail. If it's not Christian or Heather, his accomplice is still out there?

Both of these plot points make me believe that the writers are just willing me to hate this show. The continued Sir storyline and everything surrounding Jamie are just ridiculous.
