Trini March 18 Share March 18 In order to solve an actor's murder, Alec and Rose must go undercover to infiltrate a community theater production of "Little Shop of Horrors." Joining the cast, however, may put them right in the killer's crosshairs. Airdate: March 18, 2025 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152455-s02e17-suddenly-alec/

Rodney March 19 Share March 19 I never even suspected Malcolm/Edgar. He seemed too obvious. But I knew that the Fabian Banks identity would be important. I just didn't see him being that person. My suspicion was on that "sweet" guy, Sameer, who got shut down for playing Audrey II. After his talk with Alec, though, I realized that he was innocent. Didn't realize that it was Maya, because they'd never shown any indication of her guilt. But I should've known when she didn't look happy about the play not being canceled. But it really was an accident. The purposeful thing was the cover-up. And then, she even tried to kill Alec?! Damn! When Maya was arrested, I knew that Rose would step in. Alec having no knowledge of musical theater is rich, considering that Jesse L. Martin has played Collins in Rent. He had a stunning voice in it. Alec and Rose's "loosen up" scene was adorable. Jesse and Karen just sparkle together. Here's hoping, again, that Karen gets promoted next season. This cast could use her. Rose has a husband?! Noooooooo! It's criminal that we didn't finally see Kylie till the opening night. Generally scared of Little Shop of Horrors, so I generally avoid it, but I thought that Audrey got eaten after the "Somewhere That's Green" number, not when Rose was. (NO VISUALS, PLEASE. WRITTEN CLARIFICATION IS ENOUGH.) Pretty decent episode. But the season finale is only after eighteen episodes? I figured that this season would have twenty-two episodes. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152455-s02e17-suddenly-alec/#findComment-8611024
The Wild Sow March 19 Share March 19 That was fun! I guess doing a production of Rent would have been a little tooooooo Meta! 😁 I thought it would be Sameer, because he wanted the role. But Alec caught him too early in the plot, so it had to be someone else. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152455-s02e17-suddenly-alec/#findComment-8611457

Literally all the best episodes have her in them. 3 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152455-s02e17-suddenly-alec/#findComment-8611478

jah1986 March 20 Share March 20 Please, please keep Rose on the show permanently. This was a great episode, probably best this season. Probably not a coincidence that there was minimal Marissa and interns. We got to hear Jesse and Karen sing! Just made me miss Galavant all over again. I did not suspect Maya at all, so good job show. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152455-s02e17-suddenly-alec/#findComment-8612336
Trini March 21 Author Share March 21 Murdered because you're trying to save community theater is one of the sillier motives I've seen lately. This was fun though! Definitely give Karen David more to do; she's great with Jesse/Alec. Knew it was only a matter of time before they got Jesse to sing on the show! I did miss Kylie a bit; but not anyone else. I figured that Alec getting his burn scars removed would be a arc that finished by the end of this season, but it looks like it will run ito the next, if this show gets renewed. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152455-s02e17-suddenly-alec/#findComment-8612961
