Rodney March 19 Share March 19 Parvati lost against the Banker. Sad to see her go. But C.K.'s bad social game did her in at the final excursion. So who's taking it between David and Lete? 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152445-s02e11-deal-or-no-deal-island-water-under-the-bridge/#findComment-8610994

Phil went home with money unlike most other contestants so it's hard to tell whether he'll reward David for that or punish him for sending him home. Separately, I didn't like this final challenge. The maze from last season was much more entertaining to watch. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152445-s02e11-deal-or-no-deal-island-water-under-the-bridge/#findComment-8610997
Thalia March 19 Share March 19 Arrrrgh. They couldn't have made it a 90 minute final episode? If Phillip wants to springboard from DONDI to a reality tv career, he sure hasn't done himself any favors in the second half of the season. I bet Parvati and David will be doing whiny Phillip impressions to their friends for years. Phillip likes to see himself as someone who played the game truthfully and despite the fact he feels "betrayed" by the rest of the cast, I think he was probably telling David the truth. In addition, David did help secure the $75 for him. 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152445-s02e11-deal-or-no-deal-island-water-under-the-bridge/#findComment-8610999
bunnyface March 19 Share March 19 I don't know if Phillip screwed David over or not, but he's still a dick. His whole attitude about "I'm a better person than you" makes him look bad. Even Dr. Will throwing the plank was better than Phillip's attitude. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152445-s02e11-deal-or-no-deal-island-water-under-the-bridge/#findComment-8611027
TAG42481 March 19 Share March 19 Dr. Will is a loathsome narcissistic prima donna. I hope he's never on my television again. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152445-s02e11-deal-or-no-deal-island-water-under-the-bridge/#findComment-8611287
30 Helens March 19 Share March 19 I wasn’t paying attention to the clock and was surprised when the game cut off where it did. So we have to spend an entire hour watching someone play the banker next week? How will they possibly drag that out and make it even more annoying? Like @Thalia said, this one should have been 90 minutes. It sucks to lose Parvati right before the end. If the final round depends on who people want to help the most, I would have liked to see who they chose between Parv and David. (David, I’m guessing. Philip definitely would have sabotaged Parvati.) Between David and Lete, I assume they chose Lete. I’m not sure how I feel about the end challenge overall. I don’t like that it rests so heavily on the actions of others, but I do like that there’s a bit of a jury component and that social game mattered in the end. Exit interview with Parvati. She doesn’t get Philip’s attitude, either. https://ew.com/parvati-shallow-explains-deal-or-no-deal-island-relationship-david-11698162 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152445-s02e11-deal-or-no-deal-island-water-under-the-bridge/#findComment-8611341
mertensia March 20 Share March 20 Seriously, no one wants to see an hour of the Final Banker. CK learns the hard way that a social game is important, too. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152445-s02e11-deal-or-no-deal-island-water-under-the-bridge/#findComment-8611984
30 Helens March 20 Share March 20 So, I have assumed all season that The Banker is last season’s winner. We know the banker is a woman, and we know a woman won last season, even if I can’t remember her name. Anyone have a different theory? I would assume it's someone that has some attachment to the game. I'm drawing a blank on any possible women that could be the banker. It's not as compelling as the puzzle/maze last season, but at least it is putting emphasis on the fact that alliances and how you treat other people on the island matters. I think flaunting "The Family" alliance in front of everyone else the whole season is ultimately gonna bite David in the ass. I do think it's funny that he thought he would smoke CK and Lete in a physical challenge and then it was this. Karma. Sorry Parv lost, but as Rob said, she did everything right when she played the banker. It could have gone either way. And I also think Rob is right to say the best strategy is to play the middle......exactly like Lete. I think/hope she wins.
