Dowel Jones March 17 Share March 17 Just out of curiosity, would the Border Patrol be checking weights and contents of vehicles that are not crossing over the border? Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152439-s03e02-n%C3%A1%C3%A1tsoh-big-eyes/#findComment-8609471

They’re more likely to be on the lookout for mid-route manifest changes, discrepancies in reported vs. measured load weights, etc. - all which could be yellow flags for smuggling or trafficking. Not to mention: the trucks themselves might not be crossing the border at all - but stopping midroute to pick up goods already smuggled across. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152439-s03e02-n%C3%A1%C3%A1tsoh-big-eyes/#findComment-8610380
nachomama March 18 Share March 18 ok, immediately I go to Dr. Reynolds, mostly because its Christopher Hyerdahl who is just legendary creepy. He played the Swede on "hell on wheels" and he's just super full of heeby jeebies. Kinda laughed that the arrow head is fake. I had a friend whose dad owned a touristy shop off I-40 between Gallup and Grants and he'd go throw fake arrow heads out in the bushes and down this hill around their place. People would stop for gas and snacks etc and be walking their dogs and find these arrow heads and get all excited. 2 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152439-s03e02-n%C3%A1%C3%A1tsoh-big-eyes/#findComment-8610444
Carbon60 March 18 Share March 18 I’m curious to see if the two cases connect. I assume they will. Yes, I’m giving Christopher Heyerdahl’s archaeologist a lot of side-eye. Likewise Bruce Greenwood’s Tom Spenser. Spenser has been more obviously set up as a bad guy than the Dr. so far. Joe’s psychic visions are scary, and I’m wondering how he will fight the pressure. Will he have to make atonement via a cleansing ceremony (I am not an expert on Diné culture, but have read about such ceremonies in the Hillerman books) or would he confess and face punishment? 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152439-s03e02-n%C3%A1%C3%A1tsoh-big-eyes/#findComment-8610684

SharonH58 March 21 Share March 21 (edited) I had closed captions on and when Leaphorn's wife was talking to Jenna FBI, she told her He hates when women in are charge. What a rude thing to say about your husband to a stranger? They seem to have her extra this season. FIrst she's telling him Do you have to do this? Yes, it's his job. Which i guess was about him going to the autopsy since that was his next scene. This season seems to be a mix up of two Leaphorn books, or a 'loosely based on'.
