FnkyChkn34 Thursday at 03:30 AM Share Thursday at 03:30 AM Has Pascal just turned into that weird lurker now? For the last 2 episodes, he just pops up at random times and barely has any lines. We haven't seen anyone get called in to his office, or even a morning briefing in a long time. At first, I thought that Leo was interested in Sam and was getting his number because he wanted a date. What a weirdo he turned out to be instead... Did they only get one call in multiple shifts, that we saw? A zipline rescue that was over in 3 minutes? I thought that they were firefighters. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151980-s13e13-born-of-fire/#findComment-8586183

What a weirdo he turned out to be instead.. I thought the same. Somehow I don’t think we’ve seen the last of Spencer Treat Clark. I’m all for Violet getting a win (because, come on), but isn’t this the second or third time in a couple of seasons that our heroes prevail by checking routine records that somehow no one else in the universe thought to look into? (Is it called One Chicago because everyone else has to share a brain?) Also, I will admit that Hermann’s line “It’s marzipan-forward!” as he’s surrounded by gagging made me laugh. But how in the name of St. Dymphna, Patron Saint of Ridiculous B-Plots, does Hermann spend umpteen years running a bar (part-time, granted) and know so little about cocktails, marketing, or, well, running a bar?? iMonrey Thursday at 05:35 PM Share Thursday at 05:35 PM I think this was the most acting I've ever seen Jake Lockett (Carver) do since he joined the show. Usually all he has to do is stand around and look pretty. And take his shirt off once in awhile. Is "Stellaride" a nod and a wink to a fanbase? Do they actually have a fanbase? And if so, why? I would have told Lennox to go pound sand. And they never said what kind of plea deal he was being offered. 14 hours ago, FnkyChkn34 said: At first, I thought that Leo was interested in Sam and was getting his number because he wanted a date. Me too, because I know him as Adrian on Animal Kingdom. If this were a more daring show they'd make Carver bi. But they don't do that. The women are mostly fluid but the men are either straight or gay, period. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151980-s13e13-born-of-fire/#findComment-8586511
Dowel Jones Thursday at 06:17 PM Share Thursday at 06:17 PM When the idea of a ropes course was first mentioned, I thought, start at the basics: Knots, rope uses, physics of lifting, etc. Give the girls a grounding so it's not just monkey see, monkey do. Then move on to aerial stuff. When they set up that zipline I cringed. Don't any of you know what liability is? With minors? I like the way Pascal basically told them without telling them that it was not a good idea. Violet, before you ever go into a court situation as a subject matter expert, you better get Management involved. You could very easily hang CFD out by speaking up on your own. But, of course,... 53 minutes ago, Sandman said: ...checking routine records that somehow no one else in the universe thought to look into? saves the day. You would think every medic would know the ins and outs of the equipment on the ambulance. Stay out of Molly's, Carver. Period. It's a trigger until you can stand up to it. I wonder if anyone at all at the adventure park is trained in zip lines. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151980-s13e13-born-of-fire/#findComment-8586553
anna0852 Thursday at 07:49 PM Share Thursday at 07:49 PM (edited) Good for Carver for choosing to get sober! That is a hard journey. And I felt really bad for him thinking that he had found some support only for the guy to be a complete creep. He’s clearly struggling and trying so hard. The budget cuts are showing. A TV show set in a firehouse and we only got one rescue the entire hour? Unless it’s an event episode cast members are always missing? This is getting a little ridiculous. I do appreciate the references to Otis and to Brett. And the references are appropriate. Herman is standing in Molly’s talking about wanting to expand, of course Otis and Molly’s North is going to come up. Stella and Kelly want to adopt a child so of course they’re gonna reach out to the person who has And ask for resources. It was very organic. What were all of those extra straps and how on earth did she get them wrapped around her neck? I've been ziplining (outdoors) and never had anything like that. When I saw the previews last week, I thought she was going to be a circus performer or something, not just a girl on a zipline. Stella was reluctant to be the voice of reason because she doesn't want to go against Pascal, but she ultimately had to in the end. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151980-s13e13-born-of-fire/#findComment-8586737

Of course, that is absolutely wrong for a supervisor to say that, but I think he wanted them to make the decision to stop. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151980-s13e13-born-of-fire/#findComment-8586806
Sandman Yest. at 03:19 AM Share Yest. at 03:19 AM You're probably right. But I find Pascal such a weird presence. They seem to have backed off his micro-managing tendency, but now he's mostly disengaged. Lurker mode, as @FnkyChkn34 says. Such an odd duck. But if it means we don't see any more of his wonko vibe with his wife, you won't see me complain. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151980-s13e13-born-of-fire/#findComment-8587029

And did they have to shut it down after he died? Yeah. Otis got the idea to expand the bar in season six and was able to take over a spot that was going out of business. In the process began dating the former owner’s daughter. She had gone in on a partnership, but didn’t have the heart to run it after he died. So it closed.
