AntFTW January 29 Author Share January 29 Hi Storm. Bye Storm. I didn't know Storm existed before this episode. I don't recall seeing him before. "The Family" has to be one of the oddest alliances I've seen on reality TV. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151614-s02e04-deal-or-no-deal-island-throw-and-tell/#findComment-8566692
mertensia January 29 Share January 29 Dr Will's hair is so awful. Yay for Dickson! Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151614-s02e04-deal-or-no-deal-island-throw-and-tell/#findComment-8566792
seacliffsal January 29 Share January 29 I would be very interested in hearing Dickson's reasoning for getting rid of Storm. Unpopular opinion, but at this point I'm kind of hoping Dr. Will wins it all... 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151614-s02e04-deal-or-no-deal-island-throw-and-tell/#findComment-8566800

They hinted at the reason at the beginning of the episode: to break up his showmance with Maria-Grace. As Will said, showmances are borderline-unbreakable alliances. So Dickson wanted to break up that twosome. Although now he's put a target on his, David, and Parvati's backs in the process. Thalia January 30 Share January 30 (edited) I haven't watched Dr. Will's BB seasons, but I like him on this show and agree with @seacliffsal. He's much more interesting than anyone else, with Parvati, David, and Phillip being my second tier. I hope that he makes it far in the game. By the end of the night I thought that Dickson had -- as we say down in my neck of the woods -- gotten too big for his britches. I agree that The Family is in trouble. But I think Dickson could easily go sooner rather than later because a) his braggadocio at the temple (understandable, but dude, it is still a game of luck and a soupçon of nerve near the end); b) whether or not he and Storm were friends, it appears that everyone was shocked when Dickson eliminated the Cloudy One. Given the uncertainty of the game, they may want to get rid of someone they can't read; c) Based on his behavior at the temple and his lack of empathy for the Hapless Luke in episode 1, I can't help but believe that Dickson is going to go too far with his post-Temple celebration ("I'm THE MAN!") and annoy the other contestants. Which is sad, because I was feeling an Aron like empathy for Dickson when he talked about his father -- who might hang with Dickson if he had a few million dollars? TAG42481 January 30 Share January 30 Dr. Will was voted as the number one threat. I don't think he's a threat. I think he's a arrogant SOB who hasn't proven a thing yet - on this show at least. I've never watched a minute of Big Brother. If I was on the show, I'd vote him off just because he's a PITA. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151614-s02e04-deal-or-no-deal-island-throw-and-tell/#findComment-8568239
jabRI January 30 Share January 30 I heard Dickson say he's going after the 'big guys' because he couldn't win against them in a physical challenge. Seems like there were more strategic targets, but whatever. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151614-s02e04-deal-or-no-deal-island-throw-and-tell/#findComment-8568249

Which is sad, because I was feeling an Aron like empathy for Dickson when he talked about his father -- who might hang with Dickson if he had a few million dollars? Yeah, Dickson's "hot model on original DOND" system didn't earn him any goodwill from me and he seems like that classic dorky guy who puffs up ENORMOUSLY at the slightest attention from a woman or from popular people of either gender. I was rooting for him to go out during the cringey performance, but I was impressed that he went against the plan after they all thought they'd manipulated him into doing what they wanted. It probably did put a target on his back, but there would have been one eventually anyway. Might as well play while you're there. And much as Will professed to want CK out, I'm sure he's not that upset to lose one half of the showmance couple. It was painful to watch Dickson tell Storm that he would still come visit him and that they were still friends, as if any of that was ever real and that his friendship was what Storm wanted. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151614-s02e04-deal-or-no-deal-island-throw-and-tell/#findComment-8571598
