possibilities January 28 Share January 28 (edited) Can someone tell me what makes pickleball better than tennis? I am not being snarky; I just don't know why someone would choose one over the other, since they seem very similar to me. Harvey January 28 Share January 28 The neighbors excitement about taking Calvin and Dave's pickle ball virginity was pretty funny 😁 I really liked the scene where Tina described the horrors of friendly chatty neighbors but she was just talking about Gemma. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151604-s07e09-welcome-to-pickleball/#findComment-8565751
Browncoat January 28 Share January 28 I hated the "Marty is a reject" storyline. I hated the core four's attitude toward the throuple across the street. But Malcolm folding the playpen cracked me up, and it was pretty funny when Calvin and Tina were describing annoying new neighbors. I assume in part it’s because anyone can play and it’s not hoity toity upper class snobbish like tennis is assumed to be 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151604-s07e09-welcome-to-pickleball/#findComment-8565799

It's 'tennis for people who don't like to run' - it's much easier to successfully play with beginners (not that the beginners don't get hurt doing it) Patting myself on the back for recognizing the women in Tina's house wasn't the pickle ball woman! Wonder if we'll ever see (or hear) them again? Actually a bunch of laughs this episode - mostly Marty and Malcom 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151604-s07e09-welcome-to-pickleball/#findComment-8565815
Empress1 January 28 Share January 28 I hate that balloon-popping thing. Every video of it I’ve seen on social media makes me mad. Cedric the Entertainer’s delivery of “baby tennis” cracked me up. Also when he said he couldn’t confront anybody in slippers in case something popped off. He needs grip! 2 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151604-s07e09-welcome-to-pickleball/#findComment-8565817

Yeah, explain that - was Malcom criticizing himself because he needed to get down to one woman? And then, what? They all get new balloons for the next guy? A lot of times people will just pop as soon as they see the person, before the person speaks. Malcolm was telling the truth thinking it would turn women off to make Marty feel better, although Malcolm’s history isn’t that bad. He went through some hard times but he’s past them. I’m not surprised that Marty didn’t fare well there - the whole exercise is pretty superficial. Marty needs somebody nerdy like him. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151604-s07e09-welcome-to-pickleball/#findComment-8565844

possibilities January 29 Share January 29 (edited) Marty wouldn't have such a hard time getting dates, would he? I mean, I'd think he's a catch. Great job, good looking, kind, considerate. But yes, he should fish in a nerdy pond, not a superficial bar scene. But even there, I'd think he wouldn't be such a reject. I agree, I think they go overboard on the Marty hate. But him starting out as new dad, not with the mom, just a one night stand, wasn't a good first look. We know he's a catch, but based on those first few sentences alone, I get why the balloons were popped. I thought this was a fun episode and wonder if Tina and Gemma will get drawn into the world of pickleball in the next episode. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151604-s07e09-welcome-to-pickleball/#findComment-8566581
