Baylen Out Loud all episodes

Like I said before, this show is not good for my nitpick tendencies.  Watching Baylen boohoo about Colin being missing during the couch delivery did not evoke sympathy, it made me roll my eyes.   IMO the whole argument  felt like a producers desperate attempt to create some drama in a pretty lackluster show...  get those kids fighting right after they move in - trouble in paradise!   Also, I didn't agree with that friend (or was it her sister?) telling Baylen that she needs to make sure that Colin knows he did wrong by not being available.  That was aggressive.

Then watching her dadda come and hug his widdle princess  like she's a two year old with a booboo.   He's not helping her mature at all.  Yeesh.

Aww, I think the decor is cute. It's a little tacky and a bit much but not so different to how I would want to decorate my dorm/apartment at 21. I don't think it matters to Colin as long as he has his game area. But boy, their apartment is such a dream. Talk about gorgeous. Great location, too. No normal 20 something that isn't a social media sensation and a show could afford.

I agree that the parents don't seem easily satisfied. The sister too, for that matter. I think Colin is a pretty sweet guy and seems patient enough. I think at a certain point the protectiveness becomes too much. The sister needs to chill a little.

I realize I've been hard on the parents about their interactions with Baylen, and after some thinking, I wondered... maybe something pretty devastating happened to her that puts them so on edge all the time.  Speculation:  She got badly hurt when she was younger because of TS, maybe ended up in the hospital, a parents worst nightmare.  That could've put them on hyper alert to her actions and feelings.

Or they could just be velcro parents.

I wonder what behavior/symptoms she was showing and what exactly did her doctors/parents think was going on with her? Maybe this was mentioned in one of the episodes but I haven't seen all (3?) of them.

They probably had a lot of exposition in the first episode, which I missed. I assume all that was covered then  I will have to wait until they do a marathon, I guess. All I know for sure is her diagnosis was late (later than most? I don't know).

I may watch the episode about her history again.  We have Primetime On Demand on TLC, so I think it’s available.

I suspect the suspicion of her symptoms and the age she suffered substantially, was suspect.  That’s why diagnosis was difficult.  Eventually, she ended up at the Mayo Clinic.  At least that’s what I have read.  I have no reason to doubt it.  I doubt they would publicly say she she was diagnosed by Mayo if she wasn’t.

When they were at the Tourette’s Convention, were there any other adults who had the degree of vocal tics that Baylen did?  It is a neurological condition, but I still wonder how the tics would go if they brought her no attention.

And, as far as her OCD and Anxiety…..what is she doing to address them.  Those things are very debilitating too.  Working on those issues would be a priority if I were to be her caregiver.

So they're moving into what must be a very expensive apartment, and I guess they decided the huge expanses of glass aren't a deal breaker  even though she freaks out at  storms.
What do Colin and Baylen do to be able to afford this apartment?

She just does her social media, but he is (I think) in the air force or one of the other services.

Big black mark for Colin. Not on his effort to make his girlfriend laugh on her birthday, but on the way he reacted to her reaction. Dude, man up. You screwed up. It isn't about what *you* thought you were trying to do. You disappeared, and then got mad when your girlfriend, who just moved in with you, was upset. You should have immediately apologized.

Not a good sign. And now he wants to propose right on the heels of moving in? Colin seems to be caught up in his own idea of relationship bliss, and not their combined welfare.

I love Braylon's sister. She has a good head on her shoulders.

I don't understand how their lives work, if Colin is awaiting basically a transfer and yet they rented an apartment and bought a lot of stuff for it.

Exactly moving is stressful even if you aren't disabled. Baylen would have been raked over the coals if she had done the same thing. I think TLC is paying for the apartment so they can film there.
