I missed how Matt made the dance studio receptionist quit. What was he doing at the dance studio in the first place?

I did get a chuckle out of how Alexa kept trying to play Joe Rogen every time Riley asked it to play something Matt would like. But . . . would someone like Matt actually have an Alexa in the first place?

Matt kept yelling for the patrons to park on their own side.  Then, later on Ed came in and said that the receptionist quit due to Matt's constant yelling.

So true!  Maybe one of the guys at his shop persuaded him to get one.  We once had an Amazon Echo sent to us free with our order from Amazon.  It's still in the box!  Maybe he got it free and decided to use it.

Maybe his late wife got the Alexa and Matt just went along with her purchasing it.

I'm a little confused.  In the last episode it seemed like the kids, the son at least, was already in school.  They went to a parent-teacher night and there was talk of him cheating on a test.  Then this week they talked about it being the first day of school.  Did I miss something?

Thanks!  I wondered that too, but there was no mention of her working at the dance studio last week.  It could be I'm just overthinking this all 😀

I spent a lot (too much) of time trying to make sense of the whole school thing.  It really bothered me as I couldn't figure out why he was studying U.S. History and taking a test if he wasn't in school in the previous episode.
