Snazzy Daisy January 1 Share January 1 (edited) Quote Kat finally gets the answers she's been searching for these last 11 years. Time is running out for Dana, and Titus goes searching for Brendan. Snazzy Daisy January 2 Author Share January 2 The best word to describe this series is SLUGGISH, with convoluted plot. Rosalind Eleazar is wasted here. The episodes are named after ’80s hits for no particular reason. The annoying plot hole — Clint was killed at Aqua’s house and Stagger staged the crime scene to look like a break-in. Instead of focusing on Monte Leburne, the main question that Kat should be asking is — what was Clint doing at Aqua’s house? The most boring arc — Titus and his operations. The ending — it’s not clear cut. A guy you love accidentally killed your dad. So let’s hold hands, baby. 🙄 1 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151271-s01e05-chain-reaction/#findComment-8544920
twoods January 2 Share January 2 (edited) Interesting ending and not what I was expecting. Also very abrupt. Is that it? Is there a second half? Did they run out of money for a 6th episode to tie everything together? I always thought the creepy dog breeder would somehow be connected to her dad’s case but I guess not. What a weird show. snarts January 5 Share January 5 Eh, I liked it. I love Harlan Coben's writing so that shouldn't be surprising yet I so often dislike movie/tv adaptations. My only complaint was that Ep5 was too hurried and really could've been split into two to give viewers time to absorb everything that happened. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151271-s01e05-chain-reaction/#findComment-8546813

Josh killing Clint, even accidentally, came out of nowhere - so disappointing. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151271-s01e05-chain-reaction/#findComment-8548501

Now Black Doves, THAT was a convoluted plot! 😵💫 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151271-s01e05-chain-reaction/#findComment-8550095
LionsFan January 10 Share January 10 I feel like I must have fallen asleep at some point and missed some things. 1. Stagger moved the body and didn’t ditch the knife? Didn’t think to have Aqua scrub it clean, disinfect it, and toss it? 2. What was the timeframe from Josh killing Clint to visiting Leburne in prison and then leaving Kat the next day? Did they arrest Leburne the very next day? He said something about already serving life for killing two other people so why not add on another person. That tells me he went through a trial which takes time. So did Josh and Kat continue as a couple and Josh left after Leburne was convicted? 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151271-s01e05-chain-reaction/#findComment-8550892
MartyQui January 19 Share January 19 Sometimes when I watch these shows where everyone runs toward danger I think they’re all too stupid to live. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151271-s01e05-chain-reaction/#findComment-8558255

Our catfishing/identity theft/serial killer crew. Dana was the only hero here. Dude gets beat down with a stick but finds her with an ax and takes the phone, the phone. I expected her ax to take down the boss when he turned towards Kat's gun to save her son. Breden himself went from breaking in a detective's house with superspy like knowledge and abilities. JustHereForFood Sunday at 06:38 PM Share Sunday at 06:38 PM I was so sure this would be a one-topic-for-all-episodes forum that I didn't bother to check before finishing the whole thing, LMAO. I also though it would be 6 or 8 episodes, so I was surprised when things started to get wrapped up during the 5th episode. One thing I guessed was that "Parker" would be a man, that was pretty obvious. Still the whole thing with the death is convoluted, but that is to be expected from a Harlan Coben story. And how convenient that Josh got a daughter in the meantime and his wife conveniently died. The boy's mother who freed herself and went after the gang with an axe gets all my admiration. 100% badass. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151271-s01e05-chain-reaction/#findComment-8570410
