phalange Thursday at 09:31 PM Share Thursday at 09:31 PM “All hands, brace for weird.” Lol Cool that the fissure still exists. I like that Captain Freeman ended up at Starbase 80 like her counterpart, but was actually happy to be going there in the end. And I think I saw the 1701-E there at the end. Tendi and T’Lyn were able to work together as Science Besties, Rutherford fell back in love with the Cerritos, and Mariner and Boimler got sort-of promoted. A good ending for everyone. I’m really going to miss this show. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151149-s05e10-the-new-next-generation/#findComment-8537003
ofmd Thursday at 11:19 PM Share Thursday at 11:19 PM (edited) Well, I didn't like the episode very much, except for the very end, when Ransom was trying to find a tagline. I guess that makes it easier to say good-bye to the show. Chaos Theory Thursday at 11:46 PM Share Thursday at 11:46 PM (edited) Science Besties....I am so going to miss this show. I liked how all the storylines ended. Rutherford got rid of his cybernetics and fell back in love with the Cerritos because of that his human emotions were less clamped down on which means his feelings for Tendi were running rampid. Ransom becoming captain and Freeman ending up on Starbase 80 like her counterpart but not because she made one too many mistakes but because she did good. I really like that beside Freeman leaving there were no real major changes. We still have the group being the group. Becket and Boilmer are still friends and are on opposite sides of now Captain Ransom. The final fight scene where everyone played their parts was really well done. I am going to miss this show but on the bright side the finale was reasonably good and not going to ruin the show for me. marinw Friday at 01:09 AM Share Friday at 01:09 AM Great finale. Not sure why the uniforms didn’t change with the ships. The rift kind of reminded me of the ring in The Expanse. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151149-s05e10-the-new-next-generation/#findComment-8537128
MaryMitch Friday at 06:07 PM Share Friday at 06:07 PM (edited) The OG 4 - Tawny, Jack, Noel, and Eugene - joined Wil Wheaton for the end-of-season "The Ready Room". (Unfortunately, I see that Paramount has cancelled "The Ready Room.") txhorns79 Friday at 10:23 PM Share Friday at 10:23 PM I'll miss the show. It was nice to have a Star Trek show that did not take itself seriously, where it totally made sense that an exocomp named Peanut Hamper could have a sexual relationship with a bird person, a creature called Moopsy sucked the bones out of animals, and you'd get the occasional V'Ger joke. I enjoyed the ending, and seeing the characters move forward to what sounded like bright futures. I'm sure it won't happen, but I'd love to visit these characters again at some point. 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151149-s05e10-the-new-next-generation/#findComment-8537687
