paigow November 14 Share November 14 Likely Cook will fire fatal shot... less complicated IAB investigation... Voight not going to care... if Burgess pimps herself out to Deputy Chief Sleazebag as Avoid Jail Card, she will become another version of Upton.... 2 Link to comment
Nintra16 November 15 Share November 15 (edited) Yeah I think Cook will take out Gloria. Either way she will be dead, so Torres doesn't have to face the music. It's on record though before Kim killed the feed. I like Torres, but this kind of story is never that interesting when we know the male cops never get in trouble for this kind of misconduct (Jay, Atwater). Adam's the only one who hasn't gone there yet with a CI. I hate cliff hangers. I want to know what happens. Edited November 15 by Nintra16 1 Link to comment
Snazzy Daisy November 15 Author Share November 15 Kiana holds her ground quite well for someone who has never done UC work before. Torres not being honest with Voight from the beginning is plain stupid. I hope Voight will crucify him. Hey Kim, Torres won’t be losing his job or going to prison for boinking his CI. Jay Halstead had an inappropriate relationship with his CI, Camila Vega and there was no life-altering consequences for him. Some even got away with murders. It’s a unicorn team. 🙄 3 Link to comment
MediaZone4K November 15 Share November 15 (edited) It was really disappointing that Kim realized Cook was made and still held off on going in. Was killing the feed obstruction of justice? I forgot how Kim discovered Torres was sleeping with the informant but she should have kept that knowledge to herself as she's now an accessory. I Don't want Cook to die but that would be a more consequential and plot serving move than the cop who died in the first episode. Surprised Gloria didn't realize Cook was a cop from the moment she disarmed the guy at the restaurant. Overall, great twist ending, great cliffhanger. FnkyChkn34 November 15 Share November 15 I'm not arguing that they all get away with anything that they want, but was it different because Jay was undercover? Gloria knows Dante's real name and that he's a cop. IIRC, the woman Jay had a brief fling with didn't know his real name or that he was a cop. Was she really a CI? Link to comment
Guildford November 15 Share November 15 Torres is as dumb as rocks.... what the hell was he thinking actually going to her house? What was that supposed to achieve, except alert her that they were still onto her. I just can't with him, I just can't warm up to him. I've tried. I am a little annoyed that Kim killed the feed to protect them & left Cook on her own. I get it was a shitty plot device, but it felt very un-Kim like. Adam didn't have much to do, but his little snack-acting was a piece of levity. I'm taking it as an impromptu Burzek date. Having never watched the whole Gloria thing last season (I had a vague idea of what was going on) this certainly didn't compel me to go back & watch. And the Torres white shirt schtick they have with him might be the only vaguely interesting thing about him. Cook basically getting herself made with her comment was such a rookie mistake and seemed a little too obvious considering she's seem pretty smart so far, even though it was her first go at undercover, she's not fresh out of the academy dumb like Torres seems to be, or even Adam at the start of the show. I do not seeing the 'chemistry' between him & Cook, and please TPTB do not lumber her with that idiot. Let her character breathe without hooking her into a in-house relationship. At best I see a Burgess/Atwater type relationship. I like that it felt more team orientated this week, but 2 weeks without Trudy is just wrong. Link to comment

This whole plot line makes Torres look like an idiot. It doesn’t help that (in my opinion) the performers have no chemistry. Gloria seemed from the beginning like she was using him. Does Father Confessor actually have to say, in so many words, “Say the Act of Contrition, and stay away from your duplicitous girlfriend, ya big knucklehead!” 1 1 Link to comment

And he also needs to use small words so Torres will understand. Like others, I’ve never warmed up to him and rolled my eyes and shook my head at his incredible stupidity last sea when he got involved with Gloria. When I started watching this episode and saw it was all about him, I actually turned it off and only went back to it yesterday. I’m glad I did because I thought the rest was well done. I’m warming to Kiara very quickly. Link to comment

I liked Haley but I'm glad that episode focus is shifting between multiple characters now instead of her all the time. Link to comment
