heisenberg November 4 Share November 4 French drink wine. English food is not good. on and on and on... Walking around in stilleto shoes while being driven in a Rolls-Royce Phantom and they are chasing a light aircraft that is more common than the car itself? Fuel dont also matter. I'm out. 3 2 Link to comment

Don't forget they all have unlimited bullets. They basically got rid of the OG cast so I'm guessing we're getting an attire new cast in England. (I do think we're gonna see Laurent and Codron again) Edited November 4 by Brown44 2 Link to comment
Brown44 November 4 Share November 4 I think this established that they wanted to do TWD in Europe but "World Beyond" scared them that they couldn't do it if they didn't have a big cast member(s) for people to Care about the show. 2 Link to comment
Mr. Sparkle November 4 Author Share November 4 Very disappointing season after a very promising first season. Like the zombie apocalypse itself, I have to ask if this franchise will ever end. There's nothing left in it. 4 Link to comment
iMonrey November 4 Share November 4 This should have ended once the plane was airborne. Everything that happened afterwards felt very pointless and I didn't care about any of it. I never got invested in this pouvoir story or any of the characters. Even after Laurent was gone, they kept having scenes with these characters and I didn't even know any of their names. Like I was supposed to care if that one guy went with them or stayed behind with that one woman? Who the hell are these people? Why does the show think I care? The "suspense" over whether the plane would make it out of there was crap too. Ash had how many weeks to fix that plane? Why was he just then getting around to it? Why was he just sitting there on the runway watching the others fight? Slowest plane in the world. I don't know where this all went wrong but it went very, very wrong. They don't seem to know how to write a small, cohesive, character driven story anymore. It's all just fighting the latest evil cabal and new ways to make zombies look cool. It's a very stale formula. 5 Link to comment
Mr. Sparkle November 4 Author Share November 4 It was so silly to have the first baddie (Genet) die in Ep 4, then the second baddie (cult leader whose name I don't even remember) die in Ep 5, then Genet Jr. die in Ep 6. 3 Link to comment
Crashcourse November 4 Share November 4 The only things I liked were Ash and the kid getting out of there, and the man staying behind with the woman. The rest was a hot mess, and I don't care about Daryl and Carol. I'm out. 1 Link to comment
Brown44 November 4 Share November 4 You know you're running out of storylines when the big thing is hallucinating from bat $h!+. It dawned on me they killed the 5 maincast women. 2 Link to comment
nodorothyparker November 4 Share November 4 Good gods, what a mess. While I did sort of like the moment of everybody just giving up as they realized the object they'd been fighting and killing over for two seasons was gone and permanently beyond their reach, the entire last 2.5 episodes of one leader obsessing over getting their hands on Le Kid Jesus, getting killed, and then another person stepping up to insist no, we're still doing this and everyone of their uniformed baddies just shrugging and following along with guns drawn was just too tedious for words. Not once as the B and then C and then D list baddies stepped up did anyone ever really articulate what they planned to do with the kid if they managed to find him or how having him was going to make the ZA any appreciable amount better for anyone. Something something something symbol of something, I think. While I'm happy Ash and Le Kid Jesus are out, it did make me laugh to think of these two landing a freaking plane near the Commonwealth, presuming they can even find it, and going "Uh, Carol and Daryl sent us. They're in France. Yes, France. Yes, I know how that sounds but we had to leave them there and they'll be figuring out their own way home somehow. Can we see Judith now?" Both actors did well with what they had to work with, and I think I honestly would have minded less following that story instead of another round of Carol and Daryl get every last other person around them killed but keep on keeping on. Hallucinating on literal batshit underneath the English Channel with glowing walkers felt like it could be an interesting set piece and I remember thinking had it not been tacked onto the end of this mostly nonsensical season, maybe I wouldn't have minded it so much. But it just went on forever and ended in the usual result of whoops, everybody we started out this trek with is dead and now we're walking to England. See you next season, everybody! 5 3 Link to comment
Morrigan2575 November 5 Share November 5 I enjoyed this, great episode. I Loved that Ash and Laurent survived, loved that Fallou found love and stayed behind/safe. Kind of glad Angus and his wife are dead they were kind of annoying in such a brief appearance. I'm sad that this appears to be the last of Codron because I really liked him. I hoped they would find another mask for him but, since they didn't even look for one i guess he's gone/lost to the tunnel. The bioluminescent Walkers were pretty cool, wish we had more time in the tunnel, could have been its own episode. I really enjoyed the psychedelic aspects of the tunnel and how each were visited by ghosts of loved ones. Seeing Carol fighting zombie Carol and, not being able to kill herself was touching although I haven't fully the symbolism. I also loved Daryl's voice cracking while singing with Laurent in the opening scene. If the show is going to be an anthology series of Carol/Daryl in Europe (similar to the original premise). I'm totally down for that, could be cool if each season was a new country/adventure on their way home. I just need the ending to be Daryl/Carol returning to the Commonwealth and a reunion with Rick...the last of Camp Dinner Bell. 😃 4 2 Link to comment
KeithJ November 5 Share November 5 Everything after the plane leaving was so unnecessary. Why did it take them so long to leave anyway? As soon as Carol and Daryl showed up, they should have been gone. How many weeks did Ash have to get the plane ready for the return trip? 3 Link to comment
DonnaMae November 5 Share November 5 So now Daryl and Carol are almost in England, but next season will be filmed in Spain. Are they miraculously going to end up in Spain or are the filmed scenes in Spain supposed to be England? Maybe cheaper to film in Spain and more available open spaces. 1 Link to comment
Iguessnot November 5 Share November 5 What a hot mess. The Laurent is a savior storyline was quicksand. Assuming the kid would not be attacked by walkers, which never had a follow up confirmation, his specialness does not transfer to anyone else. Making zombies of pregnant women in order to create more special children is not feasible. So the whole plot point was a waste. Was Ash in the disco for two weeks, so he didn't work on the plane? The gunfight and the plane slow takeoff was an embarrassment. When the plane finally departed it really hit that Daryl and Carol were left behind, so what were they going to do? Then Carol said they should have made it to Commonwealth by now. How is that remotely possible? That's a bigger plot handwave than Rick escaping from under the RV in a swarm of walkers. 2 Link to comment

I kept thinking that there HAS to be plenty of planes left lying around somewhere. Probably a shortage of pilots, but planes shouldn't be that hard to find. Maybe Carol or Daryl gave them some sort of secret Commonwealth codeword or something? I was hoping that we would at least see a split story from that point on. But it looks like that might be the end of both Ash and Laurent, as far as this show is concerned. I have to say that Sophia coming out of the barn was the high point of the original show for me, it was such a shocking moment. That said, I didn't really enjoy the hallucinated sequence with Carol and Sophia. I don't know why any particular gas or guano would make everyone see dead people. 3 Link to comment

As seasoned as they are, it pissed me off that when they started feeling the hallucinations coming on, they kept trudging on, instead of addressing the issue pronto. This season was full of cheap scripting like this. 3 Link to comment
millennium Sunday at 09:38 AM Share Sunday at 09:38 AM I guess I'm not very demanding. I thought it was okay. Sorry to see Anna die. She classed the place up. I can't imagine what they'll find in England. Could it be ... oh, I don't know ... a seemingly idyllic community run by a fascistic paramilitary organization whose leader is a bullet short of a clip? Just guessing. 4 Link to comment
