I'm so glad this show is back! But I realized I need to take a pause and go back and rewatch the last few episodes of Season 1. I was just so confused; I couldn't remember who was who or what was going on!

I had completely forgotten there was a bombing!

We had the same reaction - and we did re-watch the last episode of season 1.

I was surprised that the show picked right back up at the moment of the bombing. I had expected a time jump, considering the 1.5 year gap between seasons. 
Back in the olden days, television shows would end their season in late May and start again in mid September. It was a simpler time...

Considering that Kate and Hal live in full tilt crisis mode 24-7, it helps that all the episodes are available at once.  (But only six this season (?))

There are a lot of characters resurfacing in rapid succession.
And the more they try to convince me that the PM is the primary villain, the more I am convinced that he is not.
.. but what if the  plot twist is not having a surprising plot twist ..?

I didn't go back and watch episodes. I don't think I ever have the patience for that.  But I did watch the 'previously on', which I almost never do.  And then I had to Google who the people were that died.  I still feel like I have gaps but I do think the episode did a pretty good job of helping me understand where the characters are.

So glad this is back! I’m interested to see what kind of trouble Mrs. Trowbridge causes. Happy to briefly see Nancy Carroll. Silly question: Are we supposed to assume (or did we know?) that Alysse and Ronnie are partners? Not that one wouldn’t be distraught over the sudden, horrific death of a friend and colleague. I just wondered, given that there was time spent with Alysse sitting with Ronnie’s body, whether we were supposed to understand that they were in a romantic relationship.

I wondered that, too, about Alysse and Ronnie.  I think I decided in the end that it was about the tragic loss of your colleague--about the strength of work friendships.  Alysse's vigil would still be moving but in that way. 

I felt a bit upset that it was Ronnie who died.  Too much of a "kill your gays" trope, or really a "kill your non-binary friends" trope.  The queer charcter is too often a Trekian redshirt.

I know this  is Keri's show, but hell, I think Eidra is a scenes stealer. And those two are so great together.

This really annoyed me, too, marybennet. Sigh. Poor Ronnie.
