Kel Varnsen November 3, 2024 Share November 3, 2024 (edited) The whole thing about how everyone was happy that they were going to take down the Prime Minister was kind of dumb. Because I have to think if the whole scandal comes out it would probably bring down way more than just the PM. And even if the party in power has a majority government, I can't possibly see them surviving the next election. Even in the end Kate mentioned that if Dennison tried to take down the PM by himself his career would be over. But I have to think that even if he had the support of a bunch of other Cabinet people, his career in Cabinet, or possibly even an MP probably wouldn't last that long. Also poor Hal, having PTSD while that dumb LMFAO song is playing. Expand Yep. It seems obvious that any overly talked about outcome with not be the actual outcome on this type of show. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150375-s02e03-the-ides-of-march/#findComment-8498619
snarts November 5, 2024 Share November 5, 2024 I get the eerie sense that after all this talk about what a "good man" Dennison is, he may be anything but. I hope not, mainly because he's beautiful to look at. Is the CIA really so bumbling that they let Roylin keep her cell phone? 2 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150375-s02e03-the-ides-of-march/#findComment-8499381

They said the "good man" enough times to make me wonder a) if he will literally survive the night b) if he is the one behind the conspiracy 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150375-s02e03-the-ides-of-march/#findComment-8499417

merylinkid November 23, 2024 Share November 23, 2024 The way Hal stopped when she said Dennison was a good man. Not just because of the implication that Hal wasn't. Hal knows but he doesn't want to destroy Kate's view of Dennison because it will hurt her. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150375-s02e03-the-ides-of-march/#findComment-8515883
Ottis December 4, 2024 Share December 4, 2024 This show is tough for me because it spends way more time on how people react emotionally to a bombing and how the bomb victims react to fireworks and how staff respond to break ups than actually, you know, having a plot.
