AntFTW October 29 Share October 29 Quote The targets are painted on three friends as they must scrape through an intense obstacle course in order to keep themselves safe; one player decides to blow up anyone's game who stands in their way. Lantern7 October 31 Share October 31 I wasn't paying rapt attention. All the hookups and alliances go over my head. MISSION: It resembled a really old-school video game. Players had to climb on pegs, go through ropes and swing into a bunch of boxes. Only thing missing was Brad throwing barrels down ramps. Nia got sent into elimination; this was a given because she did backstory interviews. I believe Theo finished last among the guys, so he'll be disadvantaged next week. Jenny and Kyland won, and they sent Michele-With-One-L to face Nia. ELIMINATION: *sigh* To the disgust of some fans, it was not a headbanger. Nia and Michele had to solve equations to open combination locks that would unchain boxes. Both sides got chalk to do the math, and I'm thinking Darrell's at home pissed off that he didn't get that. Anyway, Michele dominates the match, sending Nia out. She then put Targets on Johnny, Jordan and Nehemiah. Here's a better recap of the episode. I forgot that Johnny was a pot-stirring bitch through the bulk of the ninety minutes. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150322-s40e11-payback-era/#findComment-8495298

AntFTW October 31 Author Share October 31 This whole "Johnny vs. The People" thing going on, I love it. I like petty Johnny. This is my kind of carrying on. I love watching people drop bombs and fuck shit up. What exactly did they expect Johnny to do? Tori and Michele have pretty much declared they are avenging Devin by targeting Johnny. Tori didn't like that Johnny whispered in Michele's ear about Devin using Michele for game. Michele literally said Johnny needs to feel the repercussions. Now, she's butt-hurt that Johnny picked her as a target? Michele feels backstabbed by Johnny after telling Tori he should feel the repercussions? Make it make sense! 4 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150322-s40e11-payback-era/#findComment-8495335
aghst October 31 Share October 31 Johnny chose the strongest female competitors. The vacation alliance or whatever may have numbers but they're not necessarily the most athletic. The Daily was pretty serious. Most completed it except a few of the women but climbing that wall at the start wasn't easy. Next week is a mini final so endurance comes into play. They've been showing montages of some of them working out all season so you'd think they'd be ready but Nia was one of the poorest athletes, though she probably would have beaten Michelle in something like the Hall Brawl. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150322-s40e11-payback-era/#findComment-8495594

That daily looked fun! I enjoyed watching it. I was hoping Cara would get last because I wanted to see some people squirm at the thought of going against her in an elimination. LaurelleJ November 3 Share November 3 I usually watch minimum the next day on the Verizon app, but the episode wasn't listed in the full episode lineup. I only just discovered that the episode is there, just not listed properly. I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. Something about the daily challenge, the antics of bananas, strategy, seeds of doubt planted, the episode felt very vintage, very nostalgic. Finally some action. The editing of Aviv saying hopefully the next challenge won't involve running, then cutting to the mini final was sad and hilarious. Preview for next episode looks great, can't wait. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150322-s40e11-payback-era/#findComment-8497795

Lantern7 November 8 Share November 8 I forgot to share the mental image I had watching the episode: Ryan assembling the pyramid upside-down. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150322-s40e11-payback-era/#findComment-8501649
jsm1125 November 26 Share November 26 What happens if 1 of the 3 targets wins the daily, and 1 is in last place? Does the 1 not in first or last place automatically get sent into elimination? If so, then how do they fill the rest of the episode? Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150322-s40e11-payback-era/#findComment-8517777

If one of the targets wins the daily and one comes 8n last, then yes, the other gets sent into elimination automatically. I think it happened a couple of weeks ago. But neither Bananas nor Derek won the challenge, so there was at least a deliberation to be had by the winner as to which of the two of them would be sent in against Ryan. peachmangosteen November 26 Share November 26 (edited) Spoiler I swear there was an episode with no deliberation but I also don't pay that close of attention and fast forward a lot so I could easily be wrong. Edited to spoiler tag this, oops lol. Edited November 27 by peachmangosteen Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150322-s40e11-payback-era/#findComment-8518688

Spoiler I think that was episode 13. Cara, Michele and Olivia were targets. Cara won. Michelle was last. Olivia was the only one left so she went in automatically.
