KeithJ October 8 Share October 8 (edited) Quote The 126 are called on the scene to a hoarder's rat-infested house, then are trapped in an elevator as a woman goes into labor. Tommy and Trevor host his ex-wife Cassandra for dinner which goes awry. Airing: Mon, Oct 14, 2024 Edited October 8 by KeithJ Link to comment
Infie October 15 Share October 15 Not the best episode. I'm glad that Paul got his head out of his butt. The rest of it was meh for me. 4 Link to comment
agathapenny October 15 Share October 15 I liked the elevator rescue, though Owen being the one to sledgehammer through the wall was a bit of an eye roll. I also liked Paul's growing pains in going from one of the team to a boss. i love Judd embracing being a probie and volunteering for everything with enthusiasm, while keeping an eye on Paul and trying to help him through his adjustment. Tommy's whole plot was meh. 7 Link to comment
iMonrey October 15 Share October 15 I thought Paul's arc in learning to be a lieutenant was pretty cringey. But then I've never been particularly interested in the character. The show has done very little to make me care about him. I also don't see why Judd has to be treated like the new kid. I understand technically he must start out on probation but that doesn't mean getting people their coffee and cleaning out the toilets is required of him. They should have more respect for him than that. The thing with Tommy and Trevor is just stupid. We already know Trevor's kid is a manipulative little so-and-so and here she is still controlling his life. Not marrying Tommy isn't going to fix or change anything. She's not a baby anymore, soon she'll be off to college and what will Trevor do then? He'll have given up on having a loving life partner for nothing. There's no mandate that he would have to move to Topeka if his kid chooses to move in with her mother, he could still see her on a regular basis. It's not like she'd be moving halfway around the world for Pete's sake. I just don't like this TV trend where everything the grownups do is dictated by their children. Giving up your own life and your own happiness doesn't benefit your kid. The kid's going to do whatever they're going to do either way. 6 3 Link to comment
I Want My MBTV October 15 Share October 15 While I agree with everything about Tommy and Trevor I think Tommy dodged a bullet there. Both his daughter and his ex wife are bonkers! Melody could've really hurt her mother and may have gotten Izzy expelled and there really doesn't seem to be remorse from her or her parents. Let him go Tommy! 5 2 2 1 Link to comment

Cassandra might not have been responsible for the sabotage but she was still a bitch, coming into Tommy's home and accusing her of poisoning her kid. Also, Melody is a little old too be worried about her playing with a kitchen torch. Tommy would have been stuck with them indefinitely. 2 1 2 Link to comment

I couldn't agree more about how TV far too often seems to portray being a "good parent" as letting the kids lead the parents around by the nose. Trevor's supposed to sacrifice his entire life and future? Why? His ex-wife didn't, living in a different state than her daughter seemed to be fine in that circumstance. 4 Link to comment

Tommy wouldn't move to wherever Trevor was going (to follow his bad seed) because she didn't want to disrupt her girls' lives. GTFOH. They are, what? 14? They'll make friends in another state. Sheesh. Link to comment

Sheesh. I moved from state to state every three years until I was 13. My parents never once consulted me about the decision. 2 Link to comment

The year we turned 10 and 12, we got to pick out our curtains and bedspreads (from just a few options curated by Mom). Anyway. I guess since this is the last season we'll never get the deets on whether the school finds out and/or believes that the vape pen was planted? Link to comment
tennisgurl October 16 Share October 16 (edited) I'll miss seeing Trevor's beautiful face, but Tommy dodged a bullet there. Between the shitty ex wife and the bad seed child, I wouldn't want to be stuck dealing with them for the rest of my life or to have Melody growing up with my kids. Even though Melody was apparently "grounded for the rest of her life" I feel like they are being really too easy on her, did they even make her admit to the school that she framed Izzy? Her mom could have been seriously ill and Izzy could have ended up with a juvie record and an expulsion all because this little brat wanted to move in with her mom and decided that poison and drug possession were better ideas than just talking to her parents. She's a teenager, she isn't six, she should understand consequences, and now she gets everything she wanted, which will be the real lesson she takes from this. Tommy wont want to be around when the little brat has to suffer some real consequences from her bad seed behavior. I guess Trevor just never gets to move on I guess because his bratty daughter will put glass in any dates dinner from now until forever. The rest of the episode was fine, Paul getting used to being the boss and how that might change his dynamic with the team was alright, if pretty whiney for a grown man. I like Judd throwing himself fully into being a probie and doing the grunt work while giving Paul some guidance, but I still think its silly to keep making him do stuff like making coffee, seems like a waste of his talent and experience. That was actually the most realistic part of that whole rescue scenario. Once again, multiple miracles aligned to pull off patients surviving an unsurvivable situation. Link to comment

There is a process of testing, separating, and storing blood after it is donated. All of this would need to be done in a lab. The permanent donation centers around here are all in strip malls. They are merely collecting blood and then sending it out to the lab. They wouldn't have any blood to send out to an accident scene. Link to comment

Maybe I incorrectly assumed that the blood that was being sent out didn't come straight out of the donor's arm. Edited October 16 by eel2178 1 Link to comment
