AnimeMania October 9, 2024 Share October 9, 2024 I am not sure what is going on Friday, October 11, 2024 NBC 8pm ; my cable network has switched from announcing a brand new episode to displaying a repeat of the first episode, with the cable guide listing that at that time will be an episode of "Big Brother". Trini October 10, 2024 Author Share October 10, 2024 Well, they're still doing too much clunky exposition, and Alec getting too unrealistically involved in law enforcement's investigation (but that's every procedural), and the assistants doing experiments just comes off as padding for the episode. But I did like seeing Rose, and Alec & Rose together. Not great that she was kidnapped for most of this, but hopefully she'll be recurring the rest of the season? Kylie is at the FBI now, but otherwise this seems mostly the same as last season. (That's kind of a problem.) I'll probably keep watching, but this is low priority. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149856-s02e01-collateral-damage/#findComment-8477791
astrohip October 11, 2024 Share October 11, 2024 Of all the new procedurals, this is dropping to the bottom of my rankings, quickly. The concept isn't bad, but it needs really strong writing to keep it interesting week to week. And we're not getting that. Some can skate by on the strength of the cast, some have a great overall plot, but this is weak on both, and needs better writing. It's a little too far fetched, the writing takes great leaps of faith, and I'm just not feeling like this is one I want to keep watching. I'll give it one or two more, and see if it improves. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149856-s02e01-collateral-damage/#findComment-8478163
Trini October 11, 2024 Author Share October 11, 2024 I want to like this more; but Jesse can't carry this show by himself. 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149856-s02e01-collateral-damage/#findComment-8478623
seacliffsal October 12, 2024 Share October 12, 2024 The 'experiment' really distracted me in this episode. With the tight timeline to rescue Rose, how did the assistant coordinate the experiment that quickly? And, really? Students would choose to shoot a paint ball than take the $200? I doubt it. This episode just didn't really work for me. Not a strong start to the season IMO. 7 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149856-s02e01-collateral-damage/#findComment-8478946
MarylandGirl October 12, 2024 Share October 12, 2024 Add me to the group having this low on the watch list. I almost forgot I had it on my DVR and watched other stuff first. And I keep watching part of it, then stopping. And having to rewind because I zoned out and missed something. Granted, it's been that kind of week/month, but still. Rose being kidnapped and then Alec in peril should be high stakes, but I just wasn't drawn in for some reason. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149856-s02e01-collateral-damage/#findComment-8479456
jah1986 October 14, 2024 Share October 14, 2024 So disappointed with this season premiere. I was glad to see Rose back, but disappointed that the assistants were still there, adding nothing to the story. I still believe the best episode of last season was when Alec had to go to court against another profiler Malcolm Jamal Warner. That's the kind of stories the show should tell. And of course Rose is gone again. Maybe episode two will be better. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149856-s02e01-collateral-damage/#findComment-8480567

I didn't recognize him at all. I'm playing catch-up with this show. Over the past couple of weeks my sister and I got thru S1, and just watched this ep yesterday. I'm not excited about the show. I only like Alec and his sister. I was actually hoping Rose would be killed. I suppose her character and the actor is fine (unlike Marisa), but I want changes. But I'll keep watching because my sister likes it, and sometimes it's hard to find shows that she likes which don't completely irritate me. TV Anonymous December 25, 2024 Share December 25, 2024 OMFG, this episode is so, so stupid. A former MI6 agent uncovered the secrets in a book just because he needed self-actualization? No, just no. First, it would be illegal. Second, those in national security take their secrets to the death. There is the reason why the majority of the stars on the Memorial Wall in the CIA headquarters do not have names. In this episode, everything after that point was just noise. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149856-s02e01-collateral-damage/#findComment-8540273
