I've enjoyed Theatre Boy for the most part, but I don't think that was a good song choice, nor a great performance. I really like Danny, he seems like such a natural on the stage. I think Shye will and should probably win, but again, didn't love that song choice. She rarely misses a note. Sydney, you're a teenager not a five year old. Whoever is dressing her needs to reconsider. Just an okay performance for me. Sofronio - sentimental favourite, I think he probably needs the prize the most. He's a powerhouse voice, but so karaoke - it almost seems like he's singing phonetically. I can't imagine him with an original song.

I really wish they'd cut the backstories (esp the sob stories) by 90%. Just let be about the voice. I never watch the show without letting at least a half hour go by so I can skip most of the chaff. First half done, now on to the eliminations. I'm guessing Sydney and possibly Danny out (only because America loves Americans). Should be Sydney and Theater Boy.

I absolutely agree on Sydney’s wardrobe. Those are styles for a 6 year old, not a 16 year old. But I wasn’t happy with most of the wardrobe choices other than Danny.

Oh, they are singing twice? I didn't realize that. I thought there was a cut tonight.

Tomorrow is a bloated 3 hours in which they will pick a winner in the last 30 seconds. I think the first hour is a clip show.

Ok Jeremy (aka Theater Boy), I hope you find your place on Broadway, but that was too much drama for me. I didn't buy it.

Wait, did Carson just imply he smelled like pot? (Definitely on Team Snoop) 🫢

And give everyone a chance to speak except the winner. I hate that.

Sofronio - a better song choice. Judging by the chatter I'm seeing around the net, he's going to be hard to beat. Still can't see him as a recording artist. He's getting the winner's edit though.

Sidney - another princessy dress. She should've worn what she wore in rehearsal. I'm no fan of Gwen, but I think she gave her good advice on performing the song, not just singing it. Weird staging though. Just an ok vocal, she was under a lot. I think nerves got her.

Shye - I don't know this song either, but it turns out I don't care - it sounds like a Shye song and I'm here for it. She is so talented, in full control of her instrument.

Predictions:

Sydney, Danny out first, Jeremy 3rd, Shye 2nd, Sofronio wins.

I'd like to see Shye win, but I think both Michael and Snoop will be there for her either way.

I'm not particularly attached to any of these contestants and I disliked all the song choices. That said, I wouldn't mind if Sofronio wins. Sidney should never have made it into the finals. Shye will probably go on to have a nice future but needs a stylist.

Yes the first hour of the finale is just a repeat of tonight squished down to fit. Looking forward to seeing Asher again.

I watched again - after Jeremy sang, when he was standing beside him, Carson waved his hand (like waving away a smell) and said something like 'you're on the right team (Snoop's). Was Jeremy high? Smelling of weed? LOL!

Maybe Carson didn’t want to get any closer to that fugly jacket.

Agree about Sydney. I was surprised Gwen took her over someone I can't remember week ago and I didn't think she was very good last night. I will predict she gets cuts first. I really like Shye but Sofronio has such a strong voice, I can see him being the winner.  Top 3  Sofronio Shye and Jeremy

Not the order I anticipated but good for Sofronio. Was surprised Sydney was third.

My thoughts exactly. I thought for sure Sydney would be the first to go. and was surprised Jeremy went first. I think the final two were corrected. I voted and waffled a little between Shye and Sofronio but I knew he really was the better singer. So I am fine with him winning

Good for Sofronio. While his is the first Filipino win he is not the first Asian winner. That was Tessane Chin back in season 5. Surprised the finalists were only paired with their coaches and not any of the special guests. Damn, Tears for Fears got old.

I had completely and utterly forgotten about Huntley.

Me too!! My husband and I joke that every single season we completely forget who won yet we keep on watching. The winners just don’t seem to go anywhere, which is weird.

Sofronio was kind of under the radar for me for a while (I was really rooting for Adam on Reba’s team) but he really came through in his finale performances and I think that tipped it in his favor. Shai was great but I think her finale songs were sort of weak choices.

I think the label (they’ve gone through at least 2 so far I think) hasn’t tried very hard with the winners except maybe the country ones. There have been complaints for years, including from coaches, that the winners mostly haven’t gone anywhere. The show is mostly about the coaches not the contestants

I liked Shai but I mostly haven’t cared this season

My cable decided to be wonky, freezing a lot, so I gave up on it before the eliminations started. I think the two best voices got the two top spots, if not the two best performers. I think the money will help Sofronio, but I honestly can't see him selling records (I'm aware records is an antiquated term; I don't care). I do think with the right backing, Shye can - and hopefully Michael and Snoop follow through on their words.

Sydney had no business in that top 5 and seeing Adam and Jan Dan again only confirmed it. I don't know why by I have a legit hate-on for the blond country girl. Maybe this is the first season where people voted more for the actual contestants than for the judges and/or genre (looking at you, Blake Shelton and the country fans).

What stood out to me this season was Michael Buble's personality. No digs against the guy, he has a great voice, but he struck me as someone who isn't great at articulating himself when speaking impromptu. He's also a bit more quirky than I would have expected.  I don't think its too surprising though. He is famous because of his singing, not because of his speaking and personality.

It reminds me of an actor I used to love- Benicio del Toro. I loved him in the movie Traffic. Then at some point I saw him on a late night talk show. He was SO dull and boring! OMG. My crush instantly went poof and I could never see him the same after that. The "real" him was not anywhere nearly as appealing as how he came across when acting.
