I would hate to be married to Joy, all she does is say "all men are useless", "all men suck", "look at all the men, not a woman among them".

She is so damn annoying with her hatred of men all the time.

I also noticed that picture of NATO leaders was an awful lot of men.  My thought was how overall it's still a man's world.

Yes but most of those countries have at some stage had a woman leader & I noticed the picture was all men but that was at least the second time she had whined about ALL men yesterday.

There would be a huge outcry if any man on tv had said the same about ALL women. It's the hypocrisy that gets me.

I hate to sound like a prude, but I was slightly rattled at MD's statement that in reaction to his wife scoring higher than him at golf, he "whips it out."  The View hosts seemed to accept a.) the crudeness of MD's remark and b.) that ducking a woman is an appropriate way to acknowledge losing to her at sports. I am puzzled at MD's remark and the hosts' seeming acceptance. I understand that they want to keep the show on a pleasant level, but some probing of MD's remark and its implications was needed. JMO.

In other matters, I am an infrequent viewer and I ask if there was any discussion on The View of late Canadian author Alice Munro's indifference and seeming acceptance of her husband's sexual abuse of AM's daughter?

Here's a clip of CZJ describing the golf story MD was talking about.  It isn't nearly as aggressive and gross as MD makes it seem.

It was kind of ~crickets~ when he said this so maybe they were all wondering if that’s what he meant, because… gross.  Eww.

They did not mention Alice Munro. Ugh, shades of Marion Zimmer Bradley. Disgusting.

So they spend 2 segments basically complaining that the media spends too much time talking about Biden’s age. I love that Sara (!) pushed back on the idea that concerned people should just shut up and vote.

Ummm, Sunny, the "Commander in Chief" should be treated with "the utmost respect"? Does that apply to any Commander in Chief, or only the one(s) you personally prefer? Because I can think of one that wasn't treated with the utmost respect by the View panel. Disclaimer: I'm not a fan of him by a long shot, either, but be consistent in your own behavior if you make these kinds of statements.

I haven't experienced that. Maybe it's just you, @Glitches 😉

I've never heard about that controversy, but I'd compare it to the outrage over Senator Fetterman's shorts wardrobe. Both are not hurting anyone, but it just looks/sounds unprofessional.

(Very unpopular opinion here, but I find Kamala laugh annoying. 🤷🏻‍♀️)

Funny, the tan suit wasn’t considered unprofessional when any president before Obama wore one - he was not the first, just the only one that caused outrage.

The show felt like it was just Alyssa's View today. She spoke first in the first segment, then interrupted Ana, then spoke again immediately after Sunny. Cut to the next topic after the interview, she interrupts Ana again and then interrupts Joy.

Had to laugh, too, at how patently absurd she was comparing Pelosi putting her foot down after being asked the same question three times after already having already given an answer twice prior to Virginia Foxx screaming, "SHUT UP!" This after Alyssa had been dropping Pelosi's name all week as part of her agenda over Biden's age, saying that Pelosi stepped aside for Jeffries, mischaracterizing (as Ana herself noted today) Pelosi's comments yesterday as if they were claiming replacement was a real possibility when they were really just a vague acknowledgement of people's concerns and nothing more. She is full of it. If only Whoopi had been there today to stop her from running the panel over, Joy tries too hard to be polite to her.

I heard a podcaster refer to that incident as The Audacity of Taupe.

I also notice the male-dominated NATO photo. My first thought was: let’s put their wives in a room to work out world problems. My second thought was: let’s put their daughters in a room to work out world problems.

As she recently released her electors, I would like the panelists to again discuss Nikki Haley’s ongoing endorsement of a man she formerly stated is “not qualified to be president of the United States.

Sunny all in for Biden/Harris 2024.  She's licking her lips at the thought of Biden kicking it and Kamala ascending the throne.

I'd go a bit further and say that Sunny's at the threshold of the biggest O she'll ever experience.

It just bugs me that Alyssa is always looking at her phone for repub talking points to use. Hey, little missy, have you ever had an original thought?

Pre-taped Friday.  You'd think they'd show up to discuss Grandpa's press conference.

Project 2025.  Joy goes into teacher mode.  They're going to starve school children, lol.  Come on.  Going after Kevin Roberts of Heritage Foundation.  Trump:  I never met him.  They're bringing out the old Maya Angelou quote.

Alyssa:  Explaining 2025 in simple terms.  She does have the capacity to bullet point a topic without becoming a drama queen.  Done and done.

Sara:  Criminalize abortion and ban the pill.  Which pill?  So many pills.

Ana:  Criminalizing pornography.  Repbub jab.  Har, har, har.

Sunny:  Raise prices on prescriptions and stare intently at minorities as they walk by (kidding on that last part, for now.)

Here come the silly topics:  Boyfriend tells aspiring comedienne to get a real job.

Ana;  Black/latino jobs make a reappearance.  Ana is just one-liners today.

Sunny:  Don't give up your dream.  LOL her goddaughter(?) gave up pre-law to become a comedienne.  Gool luck, kid.

Sara has a work ethic and lives in reality.

Alyssa lives in reality.

Joy:  This country does not respect artists.  From the show that gives Triumph the Insult Comic Dog a platform.

Sunny:  Manny said go chase that dream of being on CNN.  Then dis that network 'til kingdom come after they give you your big break.

Naturi Naughton-Lewis:  I've never heard of her but she has an impressive resume. Breastfeeding is hard.  Black dula, black doctor.  Oh, she switched it up and said brown people.  Kids, husband.

Black girls go missing.  They don't get coverage because snitches get stitches.

This actress doesn't realize Joy was once a working comedienne.  The look on Joy's face.  All of a sudden the segment's over, lol.  If this had been a Whoopi flub, this actress would have been dragged off the stage and thrown out of the studio.  Note to Brian:  Joy wants part of the Whoopi adulation action.  Sunny, draw up the contract.

Comedian Keith Robinson:  Let's see if he knows who Joy is.   More pill talk, this one's blue.

Comedian Conundrum:  Go get laid (his word) or tend to the stroke I'm suffering at this very moment?  Decisions, decisions.

He talks about famous comedians who helped him after he suffered his strokes.  Good friends. This guy's funny.  He tried to pick up lesbian comedienne Wanda Sykes.

VYD:  Oprah man version.

I think they all look at their phones now and then not to see talking points but to see what's going on, what's trending on twitter, etc.  After all, they are broadcasting live.

This show was pre-taped.  I will say Elizabeth Hasselbeck was supposedly fed talking points through her earpiece by Bille Gedde.

I don't think the constant looking at phones is show-related.  I'm sure it's kids, husbands, friends, the usual nonsense.

This refers to the plan to eliminate free school lunches/breakfasts for kids below the poverty line.  Sadly, if this goes away, many of these kids will go hungry.

Many states have already set up what is referred to as Universal Free School Meals.  Other states are in the process.  These kids will not go hungry because state funding will pick up the slack.  It also depends on who controls both houses come January.  We may have an R POTUS but that does not necessarily mean he can get many of these bills passed.

As for Joy, I'm sorry but she has been nothing but a drama queen lately and I'm tired of her turning every talking point into a dramatic reading.  She has been a large part of the problem with her refusal to hear any negative talk about Biden.

I'm sorry for the issue you're having.

I'd appreciate if you could head on over to the post I created in the Bugs, Questions and Suggestions forum and provide a few specifics (eg, what browser are you using and what exactly it is that you mean by "being thrown to the top of the page"/when it happens).

Thank you.

Catching up with yesterday's show.

Maya Angelou quote - while this has truth, repeating it constantly makes it easy to ignore. Also, it starts to sound like those old time "words of wisdom", like "fool me once, shame on me..." and "What's past is prologue..."

Aspiring comedian - Sunny's example is that her husband told her he could support the family for 3 years while she pursued her dream, so everyone should be able to pursue their dreams. I didn't hear whether the husband/BF of the aspiring comedian said that he could support them both with just his income (although it sounded as if he didn't want to, anyway). If you don't have that kind of financial support, it is hard to justify quitting your day job.
