EtheltoTillie June 12, 2024 Share June 12, 2024 Rusty comes off as awful and selfish. I wonder how this will turn out. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/148202-s01e01-bases-loaded/#findComment-8391254
aghst June 13, 2024 Share June 13, 2024 Thing is, Rusty would know a ton about evidence so even if he murdered her, he wouldn't be so clumsy about leaving obvious evidence behind. I saw the movie only 30 years ago so I don't recall for instance the DA election or him having the case taken away from him right away. I recall that Rusty and Carolyn were sleeping together but not much else. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/148202-s01e01-bases-loaded/#findComment-8391812
SeanBug June 13, 2024 Share June 13, 2024 I think the DA election is something Kelley added. I don't recall it, either. The thing is, Rusty was still in love with her so if he did kill her, it would be a crime of passion, unless he is so psychotic he killed her and then tied her up to make it look like that convicted guy had it done. It seems he was more hurt than angry in the flash back, and when he admitted he was obsessed and stalking her, it seemed sad. This is a lot of acting on his part, bludgeoning her, then realizing he has to make it look like someone else did it, tying her up (where did he get the rope), in the exact same manner as the girl that was murdered. If he did kill her he would know his finger prints are around the apt and would try to wipe them clean, but we know they found his prints. I understand him not wanting Tommy or Delay getting the finger print report, he didn't want people to know he had been there re the affair. In the movie, I remember Carolyn interviewing a small child, and Rusty admiring how nice she was with him, it may have been the child of a murder victim who had witnessed the crime? I just hope this doesn't go the way of the Fatal Attraction remake series, which was really dumb and made no sense. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/148202-s01e01-bases-loaded/#findComment-8392122
bilgistic June 14, 2024 Share June 14, 2024 Along with "no book talk", can we please also have "no movie talk" for those of us who haven't seen the movie and don't want spoilers? I appreciate it! 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/148202-s01e01-bases-loaded/#findComment-8392373
GiandujaPie June 24, 2024 Share June 24, 2024 So far, this doesn't seem that much different than the Fatal Attraction series with Joshual Jackson, other than that Carolyn isn't a psycho (that we know of) like Lizzy Caplan. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/148202-s01e01-bases-loaded/#findComment-8399262

I thought the very same thing. It has the same feel and vibe to it. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/148202-s01e01-bases-loaded/#findComment-8399271
cpcathy June 27, 2024 Share June 27, 2024 I thought the few minutes of Fatal Attraction I saw were awful. This has promise. Jake and Peter acting together! 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/148202-s01e01-bases-loaded/#findComment-8401306
