I really like octopus, but I no longer eat them exactly for this reason. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/145022-the-dish-with-kish/page/3/#findComment-8633670
ProudMary April 13 Share April 13 I finally got around to watching this episode late Saturday night, and that extra clip that they showed at 3:50 of the "tension" encountered by the judges between Massimo and Paula absolutely makes me hope he's the next one PYKAGd. The misogyny! What a DB. He can't get off my screen fast enough now. 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/145022-the-dish-with-kish/page/3/#findComment-8634172

He called her KK at one point, too! Adorable. "Sara-toga." God, I love Sara Bradley. Not in a weird way, just in a "wanna hang out and have cocktails and gab" way. She was on the Pack Your Knives podcast last week and was of course delightful. 2 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/145022-the-dish-with-kish/page/3/#findComment-8635339

caitmcg April 18 Share April 18 All props to Mei Lin for creativity, but I think I'd rather have tried Cesar's dessert. Plus, at least two people said it was one of the best things they'd ever tasted. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/145022-the-dish-with-kish/page/3/#findComment-8639126
KristenR April 18 Share April 18 (edited) This episode made me realize how much of the main show is currently being edited out of the aired episodes. Was tonight's clip the first time this season we saw Tom do a walk through during cooking? Yep, that outtake was the first one we've seen this season. His reaction to Cesar's description of his dessert was hilarious. jcbrown April 19 Share April 19 That was a delightful episode. I find that Mei Lin can skew kind of dour on screen sometimes but she and Kristen were terrific together. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/145022-the-dish-with-kish/page/3/#findComment-8639557

As was said during her season, she has RBF, but she isn't really that sour. I haven't really seen it any time I've seen her. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/145022-the-dish-with-kish/page/3/#findComment-8639655

Oh I totally agree, plus I think she is likely something of an introvert and we don't always come across well on screen. I thought it was fun to see her cut loose with Kristen. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/145022-the-dish-with-kish/page/3/#findComment-8640361

Bastet Friday at 03:42 AM Author Share Friday at 03:42 AM I cannot for the life of me remember a single thing about Joe Flamm, down to whether I liked him, from his season, but I thought he was fine here. Except that he's one of the many people who pronounces mascarpone as "marscapone", something that bugs me in non-chefs and drives me absolutely bonkers in chefs. "How old do you think I am?" in response to her asking if he'd ever worked for Wolfgang made me laugh. I liked the shout-out to the importance of PA work to everyone else doing their jobs, as it's a wide variety of tasks, many of them not pleasant, for very little money (it's a job people take just to be part of production and try to make contacts). I wouldn't eat the sweet pizza if you paid me, but I'd definitely try the spicy and sweet one. I like a lot of seafood pizzas, and I've had one similar to the smoked salmon pizza, but smoked salmon is just okay to me, so that's how I felt about the pizza. I enjoy Kristen's ranch love. I don't dip pizza with toppings on it in ranch, but the only way I will eat any portion of crust that is bare is to dip it in ranch. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/145022-the-dish-with-kish/page/3/#findComment-8645043

And "marscapone" from folks in the food biz is like restaurant people adding an 'n' to restaurateur. They presumably should know better. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/145022-the-dish-with-kish/page/3/#findComment-8645416
