Cress January 15 Share January 15 So this episode featured Medusa, and Percy cut off her head. But in Greek myth, Perseus cut off Medusa's head already. Does that mean she came back to life somehow? Is that explained anywhere? Link to comment
RachelKM January 16 Share January 16 (edited) I'm glad episode threads are getting a little traffic finally. I really liked this episode. I liked the version of Medusa that seemed more vengeful, misused and abused former mortal plaything of the gods than malicious monster. I've also been enjoying the gelling of the kids. It seems realistic that it would take time for them to trust each other. But the end when they each explained choosing each other was nice. This may belong in the book vs. series thread, so I will put under tags: Spoiler In the books, it's explained that monsters regenerate, reformed in Tartarus, when they are killed. Sometimes it takes mere days/weeks and sometimes it can take hundreds of years. Medusa was turned into a monster so, I believe, she falls under this rule. Cress January 28 Share January 28 ok thanks. Now I'm wondering if the severed head will come back to life eventually and somehow reunite with her body, or if the Gods have to do the reuniting themselves. Link to comment
