S02.E02: Great Consequence

 Jenard's crew seeks revenge as Tommy learns of a rivalry between Miguel and the Serbs that he and Diamond leverage to CBI's advantage; meanwhile, the Feds pursue a task force with Tommy at the centre of the investigation.

Tommy is a wanted man and faked his death. I don't understand why the FBI/DEA can't apprehend him immediately. Get him, make him take a plea deal about his connection with CBI/Cartel or face a long prison sentence. This plot makes no sense.

Tommy is indestructible. Uncle showed Dmac how to handle a gunshot wound. Tommy gets a bullet and is back on his feet in minutes. DMac is on bed rest and gets an infection!

Of course, Tommy getting shot was just an excuse to get Mireya and him a scene together. Does Tommy or someone need to get shot or require medical attention in order for him to get close to her? At least the writers threw in the "290" plot to make it appear not too obvious. 

The Serbs continue to be a useless group. I believe 5 Serbs got killed this episode. 3 from the failed drive by and 2 at the warehouse. Why get out of the SUV for the drive by and the car. It's a "Drive by" .... Drive, shoot and speed away. Damn! SMH!

Not sure why the Serbs wanted to hit Miguel. And more confused why Che doesn't want retaliation.

Miguel thinks Tommy is "valuable" and of course Tommy rewards Miguel saving him by robbing him later.

Last week, Miguel appeared to be some big-time boss. This episode, we find out he is way down on the pecking order. His Mom and Che from the Estrada Cartel owns his ass.

"Chicken Wing ain't no snitch" but he made sure to play that Saxaphone real loud to get the lieutenant's attention to come over with the necessary cash to provide a little information about the status of CBI in view where people can see them. 

The store owner doesn't have a key to open the door in his own shop? Instead of watching the customer scratching off the ticket he should have been paying attention Vic popping open the bottle and drinking and the two going in the back room. That guy probably gets robbed every week. 

My Goodness! The dialogue between the girl and Vic was so cringe. Adult films had better dialogue.

Dropping the "Flynn" name gets Vic tased. He should have been shot when he reached to his back pocket. 

Claudia's "dry stuff" must not be that good if she put on Doyle and he still wouldn't give her all the intel she wanted.

Claudia is now mad at her father for giving the pill work to Vic. If she was smart, she shouldn't have killed the Chemist and they could have devised a new plan with Dahlia. She put herself in this position.

Shanti always has money ready in an envelope for Jenard. She has blind faith in Jenard. He will let her down.

Jenard owes everybody. I think he owes me money!

What an inconsiderate CO to try and tempt Diamond with coke, she should know he has to stay clean. Is the basement in his shop the only place they can bang? 

Why bother show Lil K and others doing target practice and when the opportunity comes, the fool can't hit Tommy eating a sandwich in his car. Keep practicing!!!!!!!!!!

I'm impressed Tommy never dropped the sandwich as he sped away. 

The lieutenant tells Agent Stacy he can't do anything for a Task Force and at the end tells her she will get it after not speaking to the Superintendent.

Best line of the episode - "I didn't know it was ass o'clock!"

(Tommy to Diamond, after walking in on Diamond giving doggy-style to the CO)....I howled, Tommy gives great zingers.

Someone at Lipstick Alley said that Diamond's hips keep hipping....I can't see him naked now without LMAO.

Either Jenard or Vic is going to die by the end of the season, I'm calling it now....neither one has much to do and Claudia is the strongest storyline wise of the three.  However, she will have to answer for Liliana's death.

Deliberately pushing a bad batch of drugs seems like a poor business decision to me if you end up killing your customers.

Jenard knows he better listen to Diamond wrt to Tommy. Tommy is no one to fuck with.

Walter trying to set up his own son to move those tainted drugs. Wow. Good thing Vic wasn't feeling like being used.

So then Walter sends Claudia in to work on Vic. This guy. But Claudia doesn't have any more respect for Vic than their father does and Vic knows it.

Oh no, they shot Tommy! But at least he got to get his flirt on with Mireya.

Abuela the queenpin is definitely not here for that White pendejo Tommy, ha ha.

Vic holding up liquor stores and drving drunk. Apparently he's given up on life.

I think that cartel guy who threatened to kidnap, gang rape, and kill Miguel's sister is as good as dead--eventually. The only way he could've done worse is if he'd said that stuff about Abuela.

Okay, I take back what I said last week about Jenard not being a generous lover. But Shanti still had to pay him for the privilege. Ugh.

Of course Diamond is screwing a coke-sniffing CO from his old prison. That'll go sideways, especially if she's trying to get him to use drugs. One bad urine test and Diamond's parole is over.

Wait, Tommy and Diamond robbed Miguel, killed a couple of his men, and pinned it on the Serbs? Whew, Tommy is deploying the Ghost playbook.

Who is this new lieutenant from the CPD? Whatever, there's a theory elsewhere that his girlfriend AUSA Stacy set up the driveby that killed an innocent kid so the CPD would finally have to endorse her anti-gang task force. But wasn't the shooter Jenard's guy gone rogue against Tommy? I don't see how Stacy could've caused that to happen, not to mention deliberately having a child to get shot in the crossfire.

Yes. It was Jenard's guy (Lil K) who he told to stay away from Tommy. 

I doubt Stacy would pull that.

Yup! Claudia keeps getting in her own way. She’s ALMOST as impulsive as her brother- she’s just not as self destructive. 
 

Something I’ve noticed about Diamond, he’s always pontificating to Tommy about xyz, but dude, you’re just as crooked and fucked up as the rest of them. You’re a criminal and a drug dealer and a murderer TOO!

No JP, Kate or DMac this week. I also think the cop on the Flynn payroll who was supporting his disabled sister was written out. I like the new law enforcement characters so far, them being a couple will make an interesting bit of the “legit world”. However we need to build more of life in Chicago not related to the drug game, outside of Tommy’s family. What does Miguel do to clean the money?

She was leering a lot and I thought she was a demon. I was like, did they add more supernatural elements to the show beyond Liliana's ghost voice? And if she was a prostitute, which wasn't very clear, she was a shit one because she didn't even negotiate the price.

The Serbs compete with Miguel. Diamond said in the last episode that the Serbs and Miguel were the biggest connects in Chicago. I'm assuming they just want to take out the competition... either that, or their true target was Tommy.

Did the show get new writers? They dropped Bennigan, quickly got rid of the chemist and Dahlia plot. Does Walter Flynn still have an illness?

 Whenever the Serbs or Russians do a drive by, it never goes right for them.

I really can't stand Claudia and hope she catches a stray Serbian bullet. BUT, I hope Walter Flynn stays alive long enough to see his business crumble to the ground for constantly underestimating her simply because she doesn't have "balls". Dude, the person you just put in charge is a drunk, who, even when sober, can't do shit right.

I know! Vic is a useless MAN BABY, Claudia has her impulsive issues too, but she isn’t as dumb as him. I wonder if Walter wants to know how he ended up with the children he has. He’s so determined to have the “legacy” he doesn’t see that his son has no brains and neither of the kids have the temperament for this lifestyle. They are far too emotional and prone to shoot people when they are frustrated.

I see promise with the Detective and the Federal Officer that are in a relationship. I like Miguel’s sister Miyera- she and Tommy’s interactions are funny.
