Morrigan2575 June 19, 2023 Share June 19, 2023 (edited) I really like Aaron Taylor Johnson, Tangerine and Lemon were the best part of Bullet Train and I think he had the better version of Quick Silver. However, I just don't know how a Kraven Movie works in the larger scheme. That being said the trailer is interesting Edited June 19, 2023 by Morrigan2575 1 Link to comment

Other than being R rated this didn't do much to grab my attention. And I wish that Russell Crowe was in more stuff, since I always liked him as an actor. Link to comment

starri June 20, 2023 Share June 20, 2023 If I end seeing this, it will only be to look at Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Near as I can tell, that’s all this movie has going for it. 1 Link to comment

tv echo June 30, 2023 Share June 30, 2023 (edited) Headline is misleading... Sony Confirms Spider-Man vs. Kraven Movie Crossover Plan By Russ Milheim Posted: June 28, 2023https://thedirect.com/article/spider-man-kraven-movie-crossover-sony-plan Quote Sony Pictures shared the official synopsis for Aaron Taylor Johnson’s Kraven the Hunter, and it confirms that Sony has early plans for the villain to eventually go up against Spider-Man. * * *“Kraven the Hunter is the visceral story about how and why one of Marvel’s most iconic villains came to be. Set before his notorious vendetta with Spider-Man, Aaron Taylor-Johnson stars as the titular character in the R-rated film.” * * * But will it actually happen? There’s no telling yet. After all, so many people involved with the Venom movies have tried teasing the villain’s inevitable crossover with Spidey, but nothing looks to be coming from it so far. Though, Sony has potentially made some blatant in-universe teases. For one, Kraven’s silhouette can be seen in the sky during the chaotic finale of Spider-Man: No Way Home. In the Kraven trailer, a large number of spiders can be seen descending onto Johnson’s villain—clearly a nod to his rivalry with the iconic arachnid superhero. Whether it happens or not, Sony is certainly thinking about it. Edited June 30, 2023 by tv echo Link to comment
Tenshinhan June 30, 2023 Share June 30, 2023 Yeah, that's not what the synopsis says, like at all. Also, as if any of these R rated Sony villains would ever be seen going up against a Tom Holland Spidey. 1 Link to comment
Raja August 14 Share August 14 That new trailer looks like a totally different movie from the first. Since I am just vaguely aware of Kraven being in Spider-Man I didn't have the problems that the nerd press made about previous promotions Link to comment
tv echo October 19 Share October 19 (edited) Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Kraven The Hunter debuts opening scene at NY Comic Con Miu von Furstenberg Oct 19, 2024 https://socialitelife.com/aaron-taylor-johnsons-kraven-the-hunter-debuts-opening-scene-at-ny-comic-con/ Quote Sony Pictures has given us more glimpses of Aaron Taylor-Johnson in Marvel's Kraven The Hunter. At this year's NYCC, Director JC Chandor took center stage, unveiling new images and the first seven minutes of the film. Spoiler The R-rated film kicks off with Kraven entering a Russian prison. He tells his new cellmate he'll be there for three days. But things heat up quickly – the next day, Kraven gets into a prison brawl, showing off his superhuman strength. This lands him in front of the prison boss, who turns out to be an arms dealer. In a brutal turn of events, Kraven kills the boss and his men, then escapes “with some cool parkour.” Another clip Soto described as “bloody and brutal” shows Kraven creatively dispatching men using a bear trap, tree stump, and other makeshift weapons. * * * Taylor-Johnson, donning the iconic Kraven coat, gave the crowd some insight into his character. “He's an apex predator, the top of the food chain. Kraven is a hunter, not a poacher. Like every hunter knows, sometimes you have to cull the herd to preserve order. Of course, when he starts applying that to human beings, it becomes a pretty dark story.” Edited October 19 by tv echo Link to comment

tv echo Wednesday at 01:44 PM Share Wednesday at 01:44 PM (edited) Box Office: ‘Kraven the Hunter’ Aims for Weak $15 Million in Opening Weekend By Rebecca Rubin Dec 10, 2024 https://variety.com/2024/film/news/box-office-kraven-the-hunter-opening-weekend-projection-1236243923/ Quote The comic book spinoff, set in Sony’s universe of Marvel characters, is targeting a paltry $13 million to $15 million from 3,200 theaters its opening weekend. Based on projections, “Kraven the Hunter” could contend with February’s misfire “Madame Web” ($15.3 million debut) for the ignominious distinction of the lowest start among Sony-produced Marvel adventures. Aaron Taylor-Johnson stars as the eponymous antihero in the R-rated film, which faced a litany of pandemic and strike-related release date delays on its long and winding journey to theaters. “Kraven” cost an upward of $110 million to produce (it was greenlit for $90 but ballooned after last year’s writers and actors strikes), which ended up being considerably more than the $80 million price tag for “Madame Web” but far less than rival studios like Disney or Warner Bros. typically pump into superhero tentpoles. “Kraven,” the first in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe with an R rating, was co-financed by TSG.
