She went to the interview without nursing pads in which case it was a dumb plot hole by the writers. 2. She was wearing them, but she still leaked through anyway. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/138769-s06e19-a-new-weather-girl-and-a-stay-at-home-coddler/page/2/#findComment-7995687

No. 2 is possible, but no. 1 more likely. Thanks. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/138769-s06e19-a-new-weather-girl-and-a-stay-at-home-coddler/page/2/#findComment-7995741

I just wasn’t working when I had a newborn when the milk supply was that copious. And I certainly was not doing a job interview that required doing a presentation in front of people at that time. And now that you mention it, I can easily imagine forgetting nursing pads while dressing for a first postpartum interview. Mandy was shown to be really good at doing the weather, other than the leakage disaster. I’m guessing she’ll get a call back. I wonder how many hours per day and days per week she would be expected to work. Maybe Mandy’s mom will rise to the occasion of being a caregiver for little Cece. Isn’t Mandy’s mom retired or otherwise unemployed? 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/138769-s06e19-a-new-weather-girl-and-a-stay-at-home-coddler/page/2/#findComment-7996009

Possibly running the office? Something like that. I think given that Georgie is working in a pretty dodgy aka shady aka illegal business that he's going to have to be the one to change his hours around to accommodate Mandy if it actually comes to that. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/138769-s06e19-a-new-weather-girl-and-a-stay-at-home-coddler/page/2/#findComment-7996018
possibilities May 10, 2023 Share May 10, 2023 I thought that since she hadn't really been away from the baby much at all since giving birth, that she might not have been thinking about it, because she was used to nursing on demand. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/138769-s06e19-a-new-weather-girl-and-a-stay-at-home-coddler/page/2/#findComment-7996148
Bethany May 10, 2023 Share May 10, 2023 Did others get the impression that the weathergirl opportunity was going to lead to a job? I admit I thought it was just a one off thing when I saw the episode but now I'm wondering. Surely they didn't set the whole thing up just so they'd have an excuse for Mandy to have leak issues? He appears and just seems to spout off whatever dialogue he has - then turns away. What happened to a little bit of emotion? But frankly so much of the dialogue he is given makes the poor kid seem more obnoxious each time he speaks. The combination of his wooden acting and the way they are writing his part, makes for a very forgettable character. I like just about everyone else in the show better than Iain. He started off so interesting. It is sad it has come to this. DH has much of the same feeling about Sheldon now and in TBBT. I have to keep explaining that Sheldon's persona is that he is on the autism spectrum (even though DH is the special ed specialist!) As Sheldon ages/goes through puberty, I think Lain is doing a fine job portraying the changes and progression of the disorder. Dr Sturgiss is much the same, which Mary has recognized, and feels is cause for worry after John had his breakdown. What I see on both shows are people who want to love Sheldon, but since autism was a relatively new classification, they did not understand where Sheldon was coming from. I love the way his friends bring him along in TBBT, calling him out for his behaviors, but also trying to help him "feel" things. My biggest issue with differences between the shows is the portrayal of Meemaw. On YS, she is one of the coolest people, but on TBBT, I found her to be rather unlikable. Since this is the first I have looked at this show forum, I don't know if it was previously mentioned or not, but I thought it was a significant Easter egg when Georgie met Mandy's parents and he owned a tire business. I'm thinking Georgie and Mandy marry, or at least live together, and Georgie eventually buys the business. I would love to see a spin off that involved Georgie, Mandy and Missy, with perhaps MeeMaw. Not particularly fond of Mary as they don't develop any change or growth in her character. (Except, perhaps, that sex outside of marriage becomes OK LOL) Edited May 11, 2023 by salvame 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/138769-s06e19-a-new-weather-girl-and-a-stay-at-home-coddler/page/2/#findComment-7997211

I think that opportunity is gone. She can't tell them what happened; they're not going to want to hire someone whose baby might impact her ability to work in any way. I doubt Mandy would have even got the interview if she had mentioned having a baby, even before the leaking incident. If she was the only woman who was good at the job, they probably would hire her. She'd be smart to pass off the weirdness as a wardrobe issue. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/138769-s06e19-a-new-weather-girl-and-a-stay-at-home-coddler/page/2/#findComment-8004845
