Soooo I guess i can start.

First one was a great movie.  Second one was a rehash of the same jokes as the first.  I know they want to strike with a 3rd and using Greece as a backdrop to make it enticing but with the loss of Michael Constatine, the fact #2 wasn't all that funny and Vardalos' divorce with Ian Gomez, I can't see that #3 will be any good.  Especially with the fact that the plot is kept hush hush.  I always find it a bad sign when the plot isn't released.

I saw #2 on a plane, and it was a perfect movie for that - if I dozed off, or got distracted, I didn't miss much. I also found it impossible to believe that (spoilers, just in case)

the family wasn't aware there was a Greek boy, Paris' age, going to the same high school

There were a couple of funny lines, but nothing like the lightning in a bottle that was the first.

No offense to the other actors, but I admit I have little interest in III since Lainie Kazan doesn't seem to be back.

She's in the trailer.  My guess is her role is very small, i.e. she stays home while the other characters go to Greece.

I caught the 3rd film on Peacock today. I thought it was fine. Nothing special, but nice in a catch-up-with-old-friends-you-haven't-seen-in-a-while way.

I never loved part 1 but it was okay. Part 2 not as good but okay in a hallmark movie kind of way.  Part 3 unwatchable. Turned it off after 15 minutes.

The whole secret brother, insta relationship and everyone ok with it then him coming home with them was just odd.

I thought is would have been fun if Louis Mandylor real-life brother Costas had played the long lost brother.

This best describes the movie.  It's very much a movie where the only people having a good time are the actors, because they got a free trip to Greece.

I got about ten minutes in and was like, “Nope.” The first one was such a sensation they should have left it there. This one looked so drab and dull and it was already like a sitcom reboot.
