The relationship soured when she basically refused to help when they were stranded on planet Ipsium.  They were talking about making the salvage job that turned out to be the Zillo Beast their last one with her - it sounds like that’s pretty much what happened.

Pabu was really pretty.  If Disney wants to make over one of their private cruise islands this way, I’d be down with that - just try not to pick one on a fault line.  Although. As chill as everything was I was also sort of waiting for the other shoe to drop- we can’t have an episode of just sushi and boat rides.  But, we got a nice action sequence out of the tsunami- I wasn’t super worried for the kids or the evacuees, but there was still a decent amount of tension.  I don’t expect this new location to be permanent for the BB, so I guess we’ll see what happens next.

Well, that was quite the change in tone. Probably needed. They finally found a place where they were welcomed and wanted. But it also really gives the BB something to lose now. Cid was always tense at best, now it's just terrible. But the people on Pabu do not deserve the Empire wrecking everything just to get to Omega. Which the Empire will because it destroys everything it touches. 

And finally, finally someone says something about Omega training to be a soldier. Which, it's all they know. But holy hell child soldiers are a terrible thing. The Kaminoans weren't great, and thinking about how all the Clones were child soldiers is tragic. But let's not pretend that it's a good thing or that it's good for her. You're keeping her as safe as you can...which, Crosshair was right, it's not very safe or stable. But just because it's really only what you can do doesn't mean it's actually good. That being said, I don't see it ending well for Omega. Or the BB. Or Crosshair.

All kidding aside it's a valid point and one that was addressed more than once this season - but there's no easy solution.* It was just surprising that it was raised by Phee who also had a rather amazing character overhaul this episode - or at least it felt like that to me. Omega has so far not have had much luck with good female role figures so I'm glad Phee moved away from being just an Indy version of Cid. And I also start to think she has a thing for Tech - that could get interesting. I also wonder if show intends to redeem Cid or let her go full dark side. As things stand right now she'll probably try to get the bounty the Empire puts on Omega.

*There had been a good chance for that in season one when Hunter wanted Omega to stay with Cut and his family - but then we would have no show.
