Mary gets a call from an old family friend who's looking for some help but when the team arrives, they learn that some crucial details were left out. While Latika struggles with being a Hunter and questions her future with it, John's eagerness, and commitment to the Hunt worries Mary. Carlos finds himself in a situation he's never experienced before and doesn't know what to do with himself.

Airs Tuesday November 22 at 8:00PM EST.

We got a lot from this episode.

New monster, Lata’s backstory, a peek into the hunting community, info on Samuel and Deanna.

I like how they’re showing John’s struggles. Seems like his PTSD is on top of a lifetime of anger issues, running into danger, and using violence. Mary calling him out on his jumping into a fight and acknowledging his issues at the end was good.

Don’t really buy the vengeful spirit just changed its mind because of Lata sharing her own experience in the cycle of abuse and how she changed it, but hey, they only have 40 minutes. The idea was fine, like in SPN Roadkill, where they reasoned with the spirit to let go. Although, in that, they were interacting with the spirit throughout the episode, not just one scene.

Carlos and Antoine were cute.

I really like all the actors--- JoJo, Nida, Bianca, Demetria---they're all great. Drake seems to really embody all the SPN angst, they really lucked out casting him. Still on the fence for Meg. Is this her first dramatic role? JMO, probably unpopular, but, she somehow can’t seem to emote as well as the other three. Haven't seen anything else that she's been in.

Mary referenced something I had no recollection of. John was working out in the barn with the punching bag and she said "Carlos told be about [such and such]" What was she talking about? Something that happened in the previous episode?

Not a lot of interest in this show on the internet (or even here, apparently). Ratings are pretty typical for a CW show - not good, but probably not bad enough to get cancelled right away.

Not a lot to talk about. Maybe when the adults start showing up the pace will pick up some.

We got quite a lot in that episode, especially Latika's backstory and more of a look at what a grim job hunting often is. I liked seeing a bit more of Mary's backstory and I am glad that they are exploring John's issues with PTSD more. It fits really well with what we have seen and I am glad that we're addressing it.

We have our first vengeful ghost!

I watched this one on the road, on my phone, during my Thanksgiving travels, so I don't think it has stuck with me. Too much else going on. But I always love me a vengeful spirit. I just think it was a little too easy taking him down in the end. Obviously hunters do their best, but can make bad calls too, and this one came back to bite them in the ass.

I wanted more actual details about what happened in Latika's past rather than alluding to it, but maybe later. But the whole mediation angle was cool. And we can never have enough of Carlos flirting.

Sounds like Samuel and Deanna weren't exactly couple of the year - much like John and Mary in the original timeline. Apparently a hunting lifestyle is not conducive to a fully functioning, happy marriage. Interesting, but not really surprising.

Aren’t ghost possessions supposed to secrete black goo?

I distinctly recall every time we saw that on the mothership, that was the case.  But John had none.

This ep was all over the place.  Carlos is still my favorite, and how cute was he w/the lore guy?!  Meg continues to be the weakest link, and nothing like the young Mary we know.  Drake is dead on John.  Even hubby remarked that he really got his anger, pent up emotions, the way he looks at you, the way he moves.

I’m dreading TW’s appearance next week, as he can’t act at all.  (Hated his burly luggishness on Lucifer)
