So Apollo's big plan is to have sex with a vampire while "subtly" grilling her for information... all while the impatient brother he knows wants to stake her waits in the car? Good thinking there, buddy. And of course he's not the one who gets stabbed!

The confrontations between the girls and the parents were fun, but damn did Cal put a lot of trust in her parents to take Juliette into their house! At least Cal and Juliette went to the latter's house unwillingly. I liked seeing Cal stand up to Margot and point out exactly how bad it would get for both families if she left the house. (In contrast, at Cal's house, Juliette just hid behind Cal like the big bad monster she oh-so-clearly is, haha.)

I'm not sure what I expected from this show's overarching plot, but I didn't expect for the entire town to know monsters are real and be actively hunting them, or for both families to be so in the spotlight already. I can't see this season ending happily.

I don't really get how the townfolk came to believe Calliope was the killer when she just passed the silver test. It doesn't really make sense when she was just questioned and literally told by the cops that they didn't think she was the killer because the body had been exsanguinated.

Also, it seems like if you suspect Calliope of being involved in the killing, you almost have to suspect Juliette and Ben of being her accomplice since they were all found at the burial site together, and since it's a known thing that Calliope and Juliette were fooling around.

We went from "There's only been one Legacy death in forever" to this blowhard claiming he took a ring off a Legacy and lived to tell the tale. I think we're supposed to take him at face value, but that seems a pretty big contradiction.

It seems like it would have been a way better plan to have Calliope ask Juliette if she knew or could find out about Legacy insignias.

But then, none of these people do plans particularly well.

I didn't understand the point of our seeing these 2 videos (I think there were 2 recorded in different time periods--the first one looked like maybe 1960s and the second one maybe a decade or two later). Was it just to show that there have been monsters, or at least vampires, in Savannah for a long time and/or that it is possible to kill them? Was this guy supposed to be a monster hunter?

The guy was apparently an actual hunter, as the videos were from the Guild archives.

The point was that Theo can now reach the conclusion that his mother was killed by a Legacy (in addition to their not being bite marks, which should have clued in the adults) and since he now can remember the insignia, he can potentially narrow down which Legacy or at least, the house the Legacy belonged to.

We should handwave the notion that the Legacies would advertise their double-secret probation club by wearing jewelry or presenting any outward sign of it.

The show is getting worse and worse with each episode. I can not follow the logic of how these people are figuring out who is a vampire/monster. The city is on lockdown yet everybody is out in bars or hanging around the DA's house.  I am not sure what tipped off the lady cop that there was a vampire in the car or who she thinks is the vampire, Calliope or Juliette.

When the Burns family went out hunting for monsters they found 3 the first time they looked, how has nobody else in the city found any monsters in years. I don't know why the Legacy Vampires don't just go out and capture a few monsters and turn them in, heck they could just turn a few people into vampires, brainwash them into saying that they have been terrorizing the city and the whole incident would be over.

What was Apollo trying to do, give Elinor another belly button, we all know that is not how he was trained to stake a Vampire.

I think the cop believed Juliette literally when she jokingly said that Calliope was a monster.  Or maybe she thought Calliope's sudden jerking of the car was a delayed reaction to the silver?

I read somewhere that the short story this show is based on was written with a pilot in mind.  As each episode progresses, this fact has become increasingly obvious.  It's almost like they focused so much on getting the pilot right that they didn't think what the season's overall story arch and general universe should look like.  Hopefully they can pull everything together in the next episode.

In particular, Theo's death felt untimely.  We were just starting to learn more about his mother and what happened to her.  I thought his storyline was going to come full circle and have someone we know be the person who killed his mother (which would further drive a wedge between Juliette and Calliope).  Hopefully we'll see some sort of resolution and his quest won't be completely forgotten.

I was just going to post this.  The acting seems to be getting worse too.  I'll finish the final episode, but I'm done.
