At the end, Raq looked so proud at her accomplishments. Wait until she finds out Kanan didn't get the job done and Howard is alive.  Am I wrong to think a set up for next season will be dissension in the family and there will be Raq versus Lou/Kanan?

When Kanan fell to the ground and cut his hand, he wiped the blood on the sleeve of the jacket! Let's see if AB negative comes up next season and Nique is released.

The scene with Kanan and Juke reminded me a little of the adult versions. 

Weird finale. Surprisingly no deaths. 

Shocking part was seeing the NYPD getting a lot of screen time and being active. Pretty dumb of them to have "soon to be dead" C.I. Toni seen by Marvin and not one cop questioned Raq why she's wearing that ridiculous onesie or detect the smell of a rotting corpse in the wall. Cop should know to never question a family's eating time.

Do the NYPD have any evidence on Marvin to arrest him? They didn't get anything substantial on the recording at the club. 

The writers pulled a fast one getting Juke to be quickly in on Raq's plan.

How long has Juke been wearing that sweater? She can bring Kanan a change of clothes but can't change her own. I give her credit for going back home and maybe run in to Marvin. Lucky for her, she didn't know he got arrested.

When Juke told Burke a mark is on a cop, seems Burke didn't take it seriously and tell her supervisors. Detective Garcia after hearing what she said to Juke, should have asked Burke "you heard about this and didn't warn anyone?". Also, Burke looked clueless to not know Captain Peralta was transferred and Baptiste is her new boss.

At the hospital, the captain pulls Burke over to quietly tell her Howard has leukemia and then says if "the brass finds out". Isn't he part of the "brass" and wouldn't they all know he has leukemia now if he knows?

Why are the police going floor by floor? They had enough cops to take all floors at once. Odd they trashed the apartment below and left Raq's apartment untouched.

For Symphony to drive all the way to Maryland at a last minute request, Raq must have promised him a good lay. He did look pissed entering Maryland. Maybe he realized he didn't have enough money to pay for toll/buy gas to get back to NYC or "Why am I doing this? I have 50 papers to grade by tomorrow!" or upset he now has to fail Kanan for missing his class.

Now we see the Maryland/Juke connection.

What happened to Lou? I guess almost losing his life gave him perspective. Not too long ago he was trying to kill Worrell and talking tough to Nique at the diner. Now he's shaken in front of Raq and wants to get out of the business.

Lou didn't know Raq's plan when he took the jacket but automatically knew it was Raq's doing when Howard was brought in.

Messed up joke by Marvin to Scrap about his eye. I didn't recognize him when he picked up Kanan.

Nique gets word the cops think he shot a cop and decides to go home to pack. Obviously to him the police would never think to go there.

There is always that one man at the front door that never contacts his boss and falls for the "gas leak on the 14th floor" trick. 

"Streets Need a body" has to be played out by now. What's the new song?

Assuming Kanan is Howard’s son, it’s highly possible they have the same blood type. So folks may assume it’s Howard’s blood. DNA as it’s used today wasn’t a thing back then.

Yes to the DNA possibly being bad for Unique. 
I liked the season waaayyyy better than last season. The actress who plays Raq is perfect.

I was thinking how likely is it that Raquel is RH- and Kanan could be a bone marrow match for Howard after all that. But it is possible Kanan is AB- as well (at least way more likely than a random population sample). None of those cops there were RH- to give him blood? AB- people can receive blood from any negative blood type!
 

Raq has admitted that Kanan was Howard’s. She hates the fact so she wouldn’t lie (she wasn’t actually with the drug king pin- he was gay and she was his beard). I think it’s been confirmed that Kanan is Howard’s.

@mxc90 Juke didn’t go home- that wasn’t her room that was Kanan’s room. (His room is navy hers is a lighter color) I’m sure Juke will never go home again. She and Marvin are done. Likely she will live with Raq. 
 

I am SO EXCITED for next season. I’m predicted a small flash foward, maybe 3 months?

I really enjoyed this season! I will say each Power universe has the same damn themes in it so I'm hoping that doesn't get too played out.

I will say this show is so random with it's plot holes and things that just go unexplained?

Why doesn't anyone ask what happened to Juke's face? I was surprised Kanan didn't ask. It was just really random because she is walking around with bruises on her face and no one asked what was happening?

So does Mama Raq not realize her son Lou Lou was nearly burnt to a crisp? She's sitting there chillin' gossipin' with church folks and her son is fighting for his life in a hospital bed? That was really strange to me. Maybe no one told her...but still WTF?

I am not a personal fan of 50 Cent at all but I did really like his portrayal of Kanan and I really love that this series helps us see how he became the adult version of Kanan. We are watching his innocence get stripped with each episode and he really never stood a chance.

Is Peralta a common name in the NYPD? On Brooklyn Nine-Nine the main character's name was Jake Peralta. Maybe 50 was doing a small homage since B99 just had its show finale. <sure jan>

Raq was counting on too many pieces to fall into perfect place at the exact time. When Marvin got picked up things turned left. And she still doesn't know Howard isn't dead.

What were the cops doing the door-to-door search for in Raq's building?

Car accident? Lol, Lou looked like he'd been run over by a truck. And how did those cops doing the search not know who Raq was?

Whoo, the moment Unique realized how he'd been set up. That look on his face was priceless.

Symphony to the rescue! He's a way better man than Raq deserved. Hope he doesn't end up killed for his kindness.

No way is Howard going to rat out Kanan. But he'll have no way of knowing to say Unique's name unless someone gives him a heads up. He'll probably plead amnesia at first. But Kanan left some of his blood on Nique's jacket so that'll be a problem.

OMG, when is season 2? And when does Tommy's book arrive?

Detective Howard knew it was Nique’s jacket as soon as he saw Kanan. I think he figured out Raq’s plan then and there right before he got shot. I don’t think he’ll rat out Kanan - so he’ll either say he didn’t get a good look because it happened so fast or he will say something like it was Nique based on the jacket and he saw him running away……

Honestly, maybe it’s just Patina Miller, Malcolm Mays, and London Brown - but I would be okay with Kanan hiding out all of season two and just focusing on the siblings. This cast is so good and the eye candy is…..chef’s kiss!

No Howard wont rant out Kanan. He will likely say he doesnt remember, and given what he has been through, no one will question that. 

Season 2 will be back probably next year. Book IV, Force, will be here early 2022. We have another season of Book II:Ghost (starts  November 21st ) and and then Book IV (Tommy's Book).

Yes very much so. I do think Mekai Curtis (young Kanan) is a good actor. He is only 21 (maybe 22 now) and he has nuance in his face. He is holding his own with the older cast members. Patina is a goddess, and a Tony Award winner SO I am not surprised she brings it all.

Those three have been great and let's not forget Hailey Kilgore, who has been a real find for the show.

Good finale.  Not the best finale or best episode of Season 1 but does it's job on what has been a really good and entertaining first year.
