I think this show is where the House Hunters rejects land.

Does anyone else want to throat punch the woman in the promo for this show who says, “Callhecallhercallhercallher?”  Or, is it just me?

Last night they had former couples commenting on the current couples' house hunt.  Why?  It served no purpose.  "Callhercallhercallher" was on with her husband.  I had forgotten how much I hated that commercial!  However, I don't think she was that bad in her actual episode and she wasn't bothersome with her background commentary either.  I almost feel bad for her that she's tied to that terrible clip!

When I watch this show, I wonder why some of the people don't rent for 6 months or a year first and then find their "forever" home?

Exactly!  My husband and I relocated to the St. Louis suburbs for his job and we rented a house at first.  We were lucky to have some advice given to us for what areas to look in by his co-workers.  But we were still pretty blind.  Easy to make a mistake in this area and end up being stuck in a house for the foreseeable future.  We were very lucky in that we ended up loving our neighborhood and eventually bought a home just a few streets away.

So the Atlanta/Kennesaw couple bought a house for almost $700k, with over 20 chandeliers.   I couldn't believe the pantry had one too, though it was a butler's pantry with a sink, and the garage had three.    It was so obvious to me that looking grand, and fancy to impress the family was the primary issue for the couple.      It did have a lot of driveway space, and that's nice for the kids to ride bikes, and stay out of the street, so it's a lot safer.       I missed the beginning, so I hope where ever they work, is close to the house.

There was something wrong with the script on this one, the prices for the houses, and their budget, and then claiming something was at the top of the budget that wasn't, was bizarre.

The couple moving from California to Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, so they can halve their mortgage, is interesting.   With two little kids, they want a 4 bedroom, 1700 sq ft and up, with a playroom.    The husband's new job starts in 8 days, and it's simply not possible to move into a house in eight days from the offer acceptance, unless you're paying cash, and the seller moves out.   I hope where his new job is located is near whatever house they get.    I do have to laugh at the wife saying house #2's back yard is nice, when it has a pile of concrete chunks in it, and a little run off stream running through the yard.    The washer and dryer are in an alcove in the living room.

I know the entire theme is that they have to move right now, but they're going to have to be in a temporary place for weeks anyway, even if they buy right now.   I wonder how someone who is changing jobs will get a mortgage?     However, the last house in Weatherford is full of cracked drywall, and some cracking floor tiles.    My guess, the foundation is failing, and if the buyers go for this house, they'll be sorry.     The wife crying all of the time is so irritating.   The real way people do this is find a rental for six months, and then go house shopping.   Also, that way you build up time at the new job.    Buying a house with known foundation issues would be a huge no for me.     I'm also suspecting the extra bedroom will not be a playroom, but will still be a bedroom.     The new builds they look at are OK, but the kitchens were tiny, and not enough cabinets, or counter space.   So they're going with the two story, four bedroom with a big loft/playroom.    Bet they start house hunting for a bigger house, with a bigger kitchen space almost immediately.

I loved the Hawaii to Jacksonville couple, when they looked at the final house, the wife, the husband, and the realtor were all crying, and they were real tears.  At last, a couple, and a realtor I was really happy about watching.      The couple wanted a home for themselves, their kids, and the wife's adorable parents.       I'm assuming that like the other house hunt shows, that the winning house is already owned by the couple, but I still enjoy the house porn, and I loved the couple, and the realtor.

Georgia couple.  Correct me if I'm wrong.  I didn't see a basement in the chandelier house.

Wasn't their budget $800,000?  They were complaining about going to $685,000.  Strange episode.

It's rare to find a basement in Georgia houses. The ones that have them are usually on a hillside and the "basement: is usually a walk-out style lower floor.

Three chandeliers in the garage, and one in the butler's pantry, that house had over 20 chandeliers.   I hope the home buyers also had a lot of inspections done, and weren't dazzled by the many chandeliers.
