I was honestly surprised that the body turned out to be Cade's.  I figured it would be someone else and LaSalle would keep up the search for Cade.  But, since they've done that plot before, I guess they had to move on to having LaSalle on the search for his brother's killer. And, I'm assuming that LaSalle will end up feeling responsible for Cade's girlfriend and her son.

So the authorities in Mississippi locate a burned body in their woods, and, instead of beginning a complete investigation of their own, they allow the (possible) next of kin to take the body back to Louisiana to have his own private autopsy to identify the corpse?????

What if that burned body turned out to be NOT Cade?  Does LaSalle just box it up and send it back to Mississippi with a note saying, "Oops--my bad!"?

I am really confused here.  In the episode with the detained immigrant women being sold into sexual slavery, did Chris and Sebastian find a body in the woods?  I saw that they found a wallet, but didn't see anything about a body.   Crap - I think we already deleted it off the VCR too!

They must have, because there was "burned beyond recognition" dialog, which is why Loretta had to do the autopsy to confirm it was Cade.

They didn't show them actually finding a body, but Sebastian says they need to bring the dogs in, suggesting there may be a body.  Next time we see them, Loretta is performing the autopsy.
