Don't know if I count as a vet for having played exactly one more game than you have :) – but I think she could just tell the mods to add a vote for whatever DL. Looks like there weren't any constraints about having to have voted for it herself first or aprotect like some were speculating. Also no mention of a two-kill power, so must have been someone protecting her.... We'll, obviously it's not a clue against me since we just had that conversation about how my name isn't Douglas. :) Also, last I checked wine doesn't grow on trees. The Jesse thing looks more interesting; maybe I'll poke around at some Oregon history later.... Yep, definitely; poor Wesley, though at least he didn't this time around. Yeah, if there's no DL it's okay for the villains. It's much better for them if we rush into a DL of a hero. (...oops) Best case for us is taking enough time to figure out who the villains are and getting them. :) Good try JayKay ... that isn't what the story said ... so now it is even more suspicious. What did you mean here? Was quoting Jesse and saying JayKay intentional, or did you mean to say Jesse, or did you mean to reply to JayKay? I think Boyd saying that Glory thinks she's a god is just that Boyd doesn't believe she actually is, because the Dollhouse universe doesn't have gods walking on earth (right?), even though we Buffy watchers know that she actually is one.

It is sort of easy to drop a bomb like that and then be too busy to back it up. Of the five previous games I have played, I pegged her for a villain only once. How did that get promoted to game(s)? And how was I wrong in that game? Didn't she turn out to be a villain? Okay, I went back and spent some quality time with the advanced search tool. Let's go through each game that's been on the site. 1. TJ's canceled-shows game. Neither BizBuzz nor Athena played. 2. The mod formerly known as jessied112's Vampire Diaries/Supernatural game. BizBuzz went after Athena this time, with her initial clue being that there's one story that the goddess Athena brought the olive tree to the Greeks, and there was a mention of wood or something in the story. Okay. We didn't get a clues recap that round so I don't know if that was actually the clue, but I'm pretty skeptical. Athena did end up being a villain-recruited-to-be-a-hero in that game (which, by the way, that was weird, I don't know how that worked), but I'm not convinced that Biz had any real evidence for thinking so. 3. Mark/Lisin's DC game. Both Biz and Athena were heroes. This happened, where "you" is Athena: This time was because Biz was part of a mason pair, and Athena was as well, and Biz picked up on Athena and Bob being able to talk to each other and assumed that was because they were both villains. So this was actually a reasonable conclusion to draw based on assuming there would only be one mason pair – I didn't remember that nuance from the first time, so I just remembered it as an accusation that ended up being wrong, but in retrospect it was pretty reasonable. 4. Then-jessie's Community LOL-ish round. BizBuzz was killed early. 5. caprevasc's Mad Men round. Biz and Athena were both villains. 6. egavasc/Silver's GoT round. Biz was Littlefinger, Athena was Arya: So, not going after her at all. 7. Now. BizBuzz says "let's kill the people who haven't posted much" and then starts a DL on the person who's posted relatively little but by no means the least, who I remember her going against in the past with seemingly little evidence. So, it seemed like a pattern to me. Looking back, though, she was right once but I'm not convinced for the right reasons, and wrong once for decent reasons – so it's not like it's that telling a pattern.

How do the villains benefit if the day is dragged out? Not trying to be suspicious, I just don't see how it benefits them to have stuff take longer.

I'm terrible at this kind of game, but I love the idea that the full name of that movie is really A Few Good Men with Kevin Bacon.

It's not impossible for someone to have special knowledge on Day 1. It happened in the LOL game, for what that's worth. But yeah, it'd be unusual. I agree that we need to DL someone, anyone, at this point; I know it's counter to my usual reasoning about D1 lynching, but, there you go. Since I'm not particularly convinced by any clues so far other than the parking one, And confused about just what happened during night 1, let's jump on with this for now: 3 to DL CuriousParker (Lisin, photo fox, Dougal); 6 to do something, anything

We're in Angel S2 though, I think, so they haven't med Fred yet (they do at the end of this season, so she might show up, but wouldn't be a villain), and Connor isn't born yet.

Just for the record, here was my power that time:

I had an anon vote in TJ's previous game, the first one on the site, where I was Jafar, but never ended up using it because the votes all had plenty of people to go through. If it's the same deal, it's just that one person has extra say every Day. I was recruitable that time, so dunno if it tells us anything about hero vs villain or anything at this point.... Also: this isn't the first time Buffy's died, but it's definitely the most brutal. Jeeze.

Since I don't know if I'll be able to stop in before nightfall: 4 to DL CuriousParker (Oinky Boinky, Drogo, Jesse, Dougal) 6 to break out Mr. Pointy 1 to DL JayKay (CuriousParker) 9 to take the offensive like we've been practicing

The CuriousParker clue seems possibly legit, but I am definitely wary of helping out the villains by killing some rando with little evidence... I'll probably jump on if it seems like it'll go through, but let's keep looking while we still have time methinks.

"Tumbler" exclusively makes me think of tumblr. That was founded by David Karp, owned by Yahoo, headquartered in NYC; no connection to anyone I can see better than that "Karp" is kind of like "Parker", which is, uh, not a strong connection.

I really don't know what's going on with Dollhouse or Agents of Shield, so since we're sadly lacking in Firefly in this game I only know Buffy/Angel (and saw Dr. Horrible one time years ago). So...as mentioned previously, Glory/Ben are definitely villains, maybe some of the Dollhouse people might be. I don't know otherwise. Oooh, interesting. The Angel-Mobile was actually a Plymouth GTX. Probably just a typo, but....

I recently rewatched the Mad Men pilot and was incredibly disappointed in it. Everything was just so very unsubtle, though on the first time through I was grabbed by the style. I think there's an immediate, substantial uptick in the quality of the show from episode two on. Breaking Bad also picks up later in the first season, though I think it was somewhere in season two that I got all the way in. Both are deservedly highly praised, though neither is really anything like The Wire other than being excellent TV.
