I think we'll have a successor announced before the middle of the year and in place relatively soon after John is done. They'll want to get someone established and have everything humming before November 2016.

It's ambiguous because they don't if/when SS will be back. They don't want her off the show and yet don't have a time frame for her return.
what death? The story was framed in such a way that the viewers may have suspected she was dead, but it was never flat out stated that she was. That was the whole point of the last two episodes: is she alive? if so, where is she?
The bomb was on a pressure sensor, when the unsub hit the pedal it armed the bomb, if he released the pedal it would have exploded. He couldn't keep the pedal in it's position all night, at some point his foot would slip and boom.
He might have a reputation as a nice Grimm, but the Grimm have been bogeymen to the Wesen forever, and it's not like he's never killed anyone. If you were locked in a room with a "nice" grizzly bear how safe would you feel?
In the absurdity of a cannibal thinking he was at a parole hearing, and that he actually had a shot when he ate a guy just a few days ago, and still thinking he was going to be paroled all through the sketch.
It's a way to give the actors a pay bump without giving them an official raise. I suspect that they can pay one of the actors less as a director than they would have to pay an established TV director. So the production might save a bit of money, the actor gets a pay bump and also gets to spread their artistic/professional wings,
Yeah they really went all out on the promotion for his new show, but tonight's guests are Sarah Silverman and Wolfgang Puck so I hope that's the last on the overkill on it.
I don't know if it is actually true, but it sure felt like each sketch was shorter than normal, which i liked. Pretty solid and funny show IMO.
