  1. I love Evelyn Cormier’s voice! People who hate on her seem mostly hung up on the the way she was portrayed in the very scripted storyline from a few years ago on 90 Day Fiancé. The judges have called her voice various things from Katy Perry’s “ one of the most favorite voices I have ever heard in my life” to Lionel Ritchie commenting on her being the “new Cher”. While her voice is powerful, ethereal and angelic IMO - I am so glad she is quickly moving up the ranks! She will be in it to the end! And honestly folks, in regards to “90 Day”? Where there is no drama - production steps in. She and David are two of the nicest people ever - speaking firsthand. Go Evelyn - all the way to the finale!
  2. So happy to see Evelyn Cormier last night! Even happier that the judges loved her🤗! I feel the way Katy Perry does about her voice. She will go far in this competition I am sure! She is such a kind, good hearted person and beautiful inside as well as out. People need to remember that there is little to no “reality” on reality shows like 90 Day Fiancé. When there is no drama, it is created. “Scripted” is a word that comes to mind! Love Evelyn and her music! Can’t wait for next Sunday!
  3. Oi vey! The “Romanovs”?? Really??? What a complete waste of time that ridiculous sub plot was (not to mention historically inaccurate in about 100 ways) - Grand Duchess Anastasia of course was the daughter that a mentally deranged woman claimed to be until it was finally proven thru DNA she was a Polish factory worker. Poor Anastasia has been through enough - can’t writers just leave the poor murdered girl and her family alone? It accomplished nothing beyond once more being fodder for some writer’s bad knowledge of Russian History. Below is a photo of the real Grand Duchess Anastasia. I hate the disrespectful way they use her tragic story. How they are going to wrap up this “going in 10 different directions” show in one episode???? It would be genius if they could make any sense at this point.
  4. As someone who lives in Hawaiʻi, I always look for things in shows or movies that make it look as if someone actually lives here. I give this show one point so far for showing the “Loves” brand of bread from here. But why the heck is everyone (local or not) wearing their shoes inside the houses - or should I say mansions? The original “Magnum PI” house was recently demolished so they are filming a good distance away on the North Shore. Definitely not close for the ocean kayaking we see him doing around Rabbit Island. I know they were filming this at a 1933 estate just off Kalanianaʻole Highway - locally called “Pahonu” aka the Anderson Estate.
  5. I guess I am shallow and not able to interpret this correctly - because I found this to be the WORST finale of a show that I personally have ever seen. I am going to remember last week's episode as the finale. It made more sense. Totally phoned in show last nite. What a insult to fans that have followed this show since the beginning.
  6. I thought this episode was going to be boring - but the amazing acting talents of John Carroll Lynch and "Morgan" really sucked me in and I found it a really engrossing episode. It makes a nice change of pace once in awhile to step back from what is going on to do a thoughtful, character driven episode like this - especially with such great actors. I loved all of it except poor Tabitha - but of course as soon as I saw an animal in this show I knew it was doomed! Bravo to the scriptwriters and actors in this one!
  7. I give this series "props" for quite a few things - for educating me on transgender issues and some of the women who told their stories along with Caitlyn who I find inspiring and brave. Mainly I am happy to have seen this series because it introduced me to Jennifer Boylan, who I find to be the true star of the show and the voice of reason in general. I started reading her first book because of this show, and find her such an amazing and compassionate person. She is the person that I learned the most from and continue to do so thru her writing. I know she has been accused of pandering to Caitlyn, but if that is the case, I can overlook it for the greater good of her good sense in general. Caitlyn? Well, while I applaud her courage and am very happy for her becoming her "authentic self" - I went from thinking she was a nice, kind of dim person (I didn't watch the Kardashian show, so had no prior knowledge of her personality) - to thinking she is a pretty selfish, narcissistic kind of individual. As much as I wanted to like her, I couldn't manage it by the end of the series. She is just too remote and self involved to be in any way relatable to me I'm afraid. I think the worst moment for me was when she was whining about her mother breaking her hip and possibly not being able to be at the ESPY's - no concern for her elderly mother was shown at all. Anyway, in general I learned a fair amount from the show, and I guess that it really doesn't matter if I like or dislike Caitlyn Jenner.
  8. Aloha from Kaua'i! First of all, I am learning so much about the trangender community that I did not know, that alone makes this show worthwhile for me. And......Jennifer Boylan!! Oh my God, why have I not ever heard about this woman before? She is the voice of reason and anytime she is on the screen I am glued to it. She elevates this show to a level that without her, it certainly would not have. I am going to have to read her books! Her no nonsense attitude and intelligence shine thru - her comment about her I.Q. dropping as she was "made over" made me laugh and love her more! She lounges in the kitchen in a one piece bathing suit with no sign of being timid (and I can not say the same about myself!!)......she is my new hero! Cait - I don't know, while I am happy for her and certainly applaud her transitioning after so very many years, I feel like many that her life experiences in "the bubble" of wealth and privilege are going to be hard for her in terms of being a spokesperson for the transgender community. I hope she is happy, but it is too early to know whether she will ever understand or appreciate the things other less privileged women have to go through to transition. I am finding the show interesting and informative, just hope they don't have too much scripted "drama" in it - the almost constant presence of Kim Kardashian doesn't bode well for that aspect of it. Cait is a beautiful woman, I will be interested to see how this show and she progresses......
  9. Aloha from Kaua'i! These episodes in Tahiti are especially interesting to me since I love Mo'orea (it is only 5 hours from where I live!) - it is very quiet and small and rural, even more so than where I live......a couple notes: No biggie, but they are all pronouncing the name wrong - it is "Mo-o-rea" , not "Morea"...... The Tahitian Islands are French Territory, not one of these fancy women speak French? Not even Heather? I have yet to hear any one of them use any French at all - and none of them try the traditional Tahitian greeting "Iorana" that is said to them all the time (it is like "aloha" here). I could have sworn that "fancypants" Heather spoke French - but guess not. Nudity - it is common on Mo'orea - we stay next door to a large, fancy hotel and when I was going to their restaurant, I noticed a water exercise class in the pool - quite a few women were topless! A lot of French nationals vacation there, and being topless on the beach or in the water, is no big thing. As much as I think Tamra is a dolt, and is just showing off - what she was doing is pretty common. As far as the food? I would love to see them try "poisson cru", which is raw fish marinated in line - kind of like ceviche, only Tahitian style! The gagging would be hysterical! I squealed when I saw them at "Allo's Pizza" - that is the best pizza place on island (pizza is surprisingly inexpensive in Tahiti - less expensive than here in Hawai'i in fact!) - but it isn't fancy - but really good pizza! I can only imagine what the employees at that hotel were thinking! I doubt they know "The Real Housewives" franchise, so probably just thought they were a bunch of rich, obnoxious Americans with a film crew - and they'd be right! LOL Meghan is not doing herself any favors by proclaiming everyone else "old" that is on the show - yes, we know you are 30, and good for you! She is the most boring cast member at this point IMO - I kind of feel sorry for Shannon, she just seems like a lost soul and clueless in many ways - Vicki of course is doing her "look at me" bit on the show with her sidekick Tamra right behind. That drunken scene at the pool? Soooo gross! I'm sure they had to drain the pool - not to mention I would HATE to be any of the guests within earshot (and that would be most of them at the Sofitel) of all the screaming and squealing! Still fun to watch these dodos out of their element in paradise!
  10. Both of the teams came up with horrible ideas for this "cruise" challenge - although I imagine that Sig was thrilled because while it still has nothing to do with what he does - there is a boat! I really detest Kate. Just detest the woman. So I was beyond thrilled when she was "fired". I don't even care if it was justified or not, because she just needs to get off my TV screen as soon as possible. And she added zero to this show. I imagine that Trump thought she'd bring a lot of viewers because so many people hate her, but she is bland as oatmeal when she doesn't have some child or husband to bash and scream at. Trump wants drama; she didn't bring it.....goodbye Kate! Geraldo is honestly so bizarre. I only know him from being a journalist years ago and the big bomb that was "Al Capone's safe opening" show. He is a poncy, entitled man that seems to think he is the best thing to come along on this show. I am actually enjoying watching him since he is a complete doofus (either that or he is playing one very well). Is he gay? He definitely gives me "gaydar" pings, but then I heard them say something about his wife and kids. Whatever. Since Penn Jillette went off this show it is so much more boring to me! But still.....I watch....what can I say?
  11. Aloha all! Put me down with the "Lizzie = boring" (so far) gang......nothing she has done so far has been of any interest whatsoever. If I wanted to watch crazy beauty pageants, there are other programs about that. And oy vey with the babies! Could care less about Briana's progeny and what sex it was.....that was a snooze fest big time. Vicki needs to get a better storyline this season! Heather has those doll eyes like some Japanese girls create for themselves via the contacts with the huge pupils and makeup......it is a "thing" and they suggest "Circle contacts make your eyes look very big and doll-like. You can try any color you'd like, but very dark brown or even black can make your eyes look mysterious. You can get them on online or from Korean/Japanese stores." Don't know what Heather has had done, but she is halfway there at least! Tamra is all about drama and creating it. I give Eddie props for shutting (or trying to) her down when she was all whiney about the TV appearance.....good for him! Shannon I'm not sure about. I tend to think her marriage woes are ramped up for the TV show, for instance she moans about her husband going to bed at 8:30 and her staying up until midnight or 1 by herself. My husband gets up at 4:30am and goes to bed at 8:30pm also....I also stay up until around midnight.....not a problem, just part of dealing with married life and the things you each need to do. Maybe there is more we are not seeing, and the tumblers full of vodka are certainly a sign of some issue or another! I agree also that the children's bedrooms at Shannon's home? Looked like very sterile hotel rooms, one flat white pillow, one white sheet....no color anywhere....looked very uncomfortable! I don't think they actually live there, or else they have rooms elsewhere we don't see? This season has been kind of a snore to me so far I'm afraid.
  12. Aloha all! I think we all found the late Michael Jackson's nose! It is firmly (or not) attached to Caprice's face! Oy vey! None of these women are likeable in the premiere (well the one married to the club owner isn't too bad), all they are doing is posing and boasting about their either being "aristocracy" or "aristocracy" and the "muse" of the late Alexander McQueen......yikes! I was really looking forward to this series, but he premiere has me re thinking my viewing it.
  13. Aloha all! Am I the only one who finds those pointed talons loaded with Swarovski crystals hideous and tacky beyond belief? And yet she was there putting the same stuff on Sonja's fingers, although I noticed Sonja's nails were the normal length and not pointed. I loathe George and would be happy if Bravo just decided to dump him and his perverted behavior off this show!
