  1. Ed: It's very strange how fast Ed goes to "I'm a failure." I mean, no matter how much he fucked up, how do you define yourself as a failure b/c a relationship didn't work out? He really out to get some major therapy. Varya: She wasn't all that interested in Geoffrey came too easy to her. As soon as he wasn't, she's a bulldog, then asserting herself over the lovelorn Mary. I do not believe at list the Varya/ Mary interactions are scripted or Mary is the Meryl Streep of 90 Day Fiance. She has a look of massive hurt and regret because she was the rebound but hoped against hope she wasn't. Mary, you can do much better. David: I really thought this guy was acting. Nope, he's that much of a loser. How do you convince yourself that the person you have to communicate with through an app is the love of your life? And is the money, cell phone worth having to look at that jackass's face, Lana? BG Visa and Usman: That dress. BWAHAHA. How could she ever think that Usman really loves her?
  2. I obviously need to read the article, but I find Leah to be the person that is always looking/acting for something that makes her seem "complex." Some people think "complex" equals "interesting." She also seems to want to be "gansta" as well.
  3. Ha, I think he owns a pita chip business! Oh, he's also Jewish. Last episode she talked about she can't help it. She loves Jews. [Her words, not mine!]
  4. Oh shit, this was a good Dorinda moment. (Sorry, I kept the video going after Dorinda and the philanthropists) https://www.bravotv.com/the-real-housewives-of-new-york-city/season-10/episode-1/videos/adam-sandler-andy-samberg-and
  5. Not gonna lie, as much as I'm appalled by Dorinda and some of her antics, I would miss her if she left the show. She is def. one of those people that when she's not antagonistic/drunk, she can be very likable. And she makes damn good reality TV.
  6. That scene made me miss Beth! I loved her her first go around and didn't like her as much when she came back. But she could be wickedly funny! And Beth was so great in that episode. And that scene really says it all about Dorinda. And my God, to me her disbelief that people are going to college in Haiti seems as racist as when she handed the only black man in the restaurant his jacket like he's the help.
  7. People in Haiti were going to college...blah blah blah blah Richard Richard Richard Richard. https://www.bravotv.com/the-real-housewives-of-new-york-city/season-10/episode-6/videos/what-the-f-are-you-doing
  8. That's what I'm thinking too. I understand why it was kept out of the obituary, but for her to be secretive about it for a long time is telling. I don't believe Dorinda became an alcoholic b/c of Richard's death. oh, I mean "almost an alcoholic." 🤣. I would be that she's been one since she took her first drink. But when she's happy, she's a fun drunk.
  9. https://www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/pictures/rhonys-leah-mcsweeney-claps-back-at-ramona-singers-daughter/ I would not be surprised if Avery gets ushered in. Ramona is aging out. I wouldn't be surprised (and I'd love) if the daughters of became members of the cast! The mom's could be "friends of." Keep it in the family! Let's get Hannah, Sonja's daughter, Avery on the show!
  10. I agree with you. I thought she was definitely playing up the drunk act. Not that she wasn't, but I do believe she's coming in as that gangsta persona. She knows she's the youngster on a show where the women are aging out of it. I seriously wonder if Avery, despite being smart and college educated, is going to be the next generation and will be on the show as a cast member. B/c this beef between her and Leah on instagram seems like they are gearing up for a new castmember.
  11. It is. She would look so much better toned down.
  12. Leah is not a fun drunk. And it's clear who the alcoholics are: the ones defending her (Dorinda, Luann).
  13. Yes to this! Carole also had some great journo creed and wrote a highly praised book. What really has Dorinda done except latch onto a dry cleaner she seems to loathe only (as she claimed) to get free dry cleaning and the clothing people didn't claim? I mean she's bragged about Princess Diana buying her DCL cashmere but if you look on the internet, other than Dorinda talking about DCL, there's pretty much nothing about it. If this was such a successful business, why did it dissolve? Why didn't she sell it the company? I suspect DCL was funded by her first wealthy husband, was a vanity project that never really took off. Maybe Princess Diana wore it, but there's zero on the internet I can find of PD wearing her creation. If she did, I guess no one knew it b/c it seemingly would've been a more successful brand if endorsed by PD. I guess it's possible DCL was dissolved before the internet took off and became a staple in homes in 1992? Still I bet this was a vanity project that she never really profited off of. So Dorinda's lifestyle of hanging with political royalty is due to Richard's career not anything she created on her own.
  14. No not at all! I mention the loss of my husband at times on this board, mostly just for the "been through it" experience. And I like when people share their own experiences as well! Yeah, I think it does hit men harder. I used to always say that I hope my mom outlives my dad (and she did). He would've been miserable. She actually thrived on her own.
  15. I do too! I think Larry is really sweet. They seem happy and enjoying a very simple life.
  16. Sorry about your hubby! That sounds tough. The thing about Dorinda though is it's been 9 years since his death. I don't think she should be able to pull out the widow card to get her out of obnoxious behavior. Not that she can't still mourn, but IMO she's using every excuse she can to justify her drinking and the obnoxiousness that follows. I do think she misses the lifestyle and being able to move in circles she likely no longer can. He brought her prestige. RHONY gives her reality celeb creed and gives her some more $, but unless she's donating big $ to someone's campaign, she no longer is invited to hang with the big wigs like she did with Richard.
  17. I am so sorry about your brother! There have been times where I have almost felt worse for my husband's siblings. Your sister in law sounds like one amazing lady! Hope she kicks cancer's ass!
  18. Right? I was married to my husband 22 years before he died. He was a GREAT guy. My daughter doesn't even carry on as much as Dorinda does about her husband. I'm sure she genuinely loved him, but I also think what she can't let go of and can't deal with is the loss of the lifestyle.
  19. OMG, same here! There are times when I look at her and I think she's really pretty. And other times I think she is fug! I realized that every feature on her face looks too big for her face.
  20. Oh that's right! I forgot he bought her those. What a fucking creep!
  21. That's a really interesting observation. Maybe that is why she can't stop mentioning Richard and can't shake his memory. There may have been some great love for this man she was married to for six years, but constantly talking about him is a reminder to all that she once rolled with political royalty and great men the likes of Desmond Tutu. And therefore SHE was important once.
  22. Probably so. One thing that struck me: You know who I don't think would give up their master for their kid even part of the time? The woman who tuned her up at Leah's apartment: Luann. DIES LAUGHING!
  23. That makes me think that Richard wanted it to go on the market b/c he felt Dorinda wouldn't be able to handle the house on her own after his death? He was a financial guy and must've known that his wealth would get distributed to his children in addition to Dorinda and w/o his earnings, he knew the upkeep of the house would be too much for her? It sounds like his death may have been fairly quick -- maybe he fell ill, diagnosed with liver failure then died shortly after the diagnosis? Like maybe when he found out he convinced Dorinda to sell. He died and the house was too much of sentimental value to Dorinda so she took it off the market? Also, this is probably not a good thing to speculate, but liver failure...alcholics have liver issues.
  24. Very good point! I keep forgetting that there are people that appreciate that a home is decorated to match the history and style of the house. I was not looking at her choices through the historical context lens. And clearly, I didn't read the Architectural Design article!
