I guess for me, he's able to do just that -- he can make the super cutting edge, pushing the envelope, avant garde runway look. They are giving him that creativity. He just has to make the water-downed version that can be commercialized. As a designer, isn't that what you're hoping for -- that your look will be sold and bought by the masses? I don't think a designer can live off a couple celebrities wearing the super cutting edge, pushing the envelope, avant garde look alone unless Lady Gaga wears his stuff every day. He has to be able to commercialize his work, so to me, I don't get his bitching when he has one look to go wild and crazy on. He's not forced to only make something accessible. I kind of think he's playing the reality TV show quasi-villian role though.

It's so funny because I have actually thought despite her smokers leathery skin, her tackiness, and heaviness, that she is actually a pretty woman. I bet she was very pretty when she was young. Dollar General Lisa no. There is nothing redeeming about her. -
But the whole concept of this show is to sell their design on Amazon and I'm assuming he knew that going in. No one is going to buy his runway stuff on a mass market level because it's not wearable. Call me crazy, but those whacky designs on a runway by regular designers are usually modified in some way to be accessible for purchase, right? Because if famous designers have to have their crazy stuff modified to be accessible, seems like Sander shouldn't be complaining b/c that is a key aspect of fashion design.

It's really hard for me to believe that the houses they walk into have been sitting on the market for so long and the person makes no changes until they pony up some cash. In the last one, the lady has files just sitting out. Are we supposed to believe she just refused to move those? That none of these people listen to their realtors on the very easy to fix items?

Married at First Sight: Second Chances, Season 1, Episodes 1-2

I need to watch that season! I know this is probably stupid of me, but I wouldn't mind seeing Zach on this second chances show. It would be amusing to see who he would keep, who he would let go and to watch him world salad the breakups. -

I think it's both. She misses him being the one taking care of things, both hiring and paying for it. I suspect Dorinda will offload that house. I would doubt her money situation is that great if she's crying over the cost of the renovations. If she were super wealthy, the cost would not bother her. I also think she knows in order to sell that house, she's got to sink a ton of money in addition to the repairs. Unless some mega fan buys it, that house needs a lot of work to stage well. I know people here love it, but it's tacky AF in my opinion. The whole house, not just the fish room. -

I think she's cute too! Her style works for her and she seems like a really sweet, fun person to be around. I hope she does dump Stephanie and finds someone who truly loves everything about her! I think in general with someone you've never met before it's a really bad idea to plan your lives together when you've never met! Another friend story, only this one hetero, let's call HF -- hetero friend. HF breaks up with her live-in BF that she cheated on multiple times. Tells me she's so glad to live alone again. But within a few weeks of singledom, she's on the dating apps. First guy she is attracted to, they are messaging back and forth, she tells me he has everything, is everything she wants. Before they meet, he actually tells his kids about HF. And HF tells him she's not going to just be some GF that doesn't interact with the kids. She's going to be hands-on. He lives on a big farm, she's already decided she would get rid of the apartment and move in with him. They are talking long term plans. BEFORE THE EVER MEET. So she goes out on a date with him. He's already been drinking before they meet. He's also had a DUI in his past. He gets way drunk on their date she ended early. She tries to convince him not to drive. He ends up calling her from his car, telling her he's going to sleep it off. Then apologies. Cries. Then gets belligerent on the phone. You'd think she'd learn her lesson, but nope. She ends up doing the same song and dance with another guy, meets that guy and has another shit-tastic date. The moral of the story is: You need to hold off on talking life plans before you've ever actually met that person. Steph should have. Erika should have. You shouldn't talk life plans until you've actually spent significant time with that person. -

Thanks Scarlett! I really hope it doesn't come off as insulting to those who are fluid sexually that we're questioning her motives or her sexuality. We're all looking for reasons why Stephanie was so attracted through video chats but seems so unattracted in person esp. since she knew what Erika looked like already. Erika seems like she's as fun in person as she was in video chats. I just recalled how my two friends experiences and extrapolated that may be the case with Stephanie. -

Holy shit, whatever sexuality she is, whatever she isn't. She's fucking annoying. EDIT: This was video before 90 day fiance, so there are no spoilers in it. I think the 90 day fiance news was her annoying she would be on it. -

Like I said, I'm hetero and I understand sexuality, for some, is fluid. I get that being gay means you aren't bi. But seems like if you are bi, but in a committed relationship with the same sex, you could at that point call yourself gay or at least that you are in a gay relationship. Again, I'm a dumb hetero so I guess you are still not gay, just in a homosexual relationship. And I appreciate your comments! Thanks for educating me. Yes, she is def. not into Erika. I think the reason we question her sexuality is b/c rainbow brite didn't hide who she was. And suddenly she's not into her. I have a couple of friends who thought they were in love with a woman (different women they thought they were in love with). Both had never been with one. One did actually have sex with the woman she crushed on. One couldn't get past the kiss. Both realized they were loved the girl, but aren't bisexual, aren't gay. They experimented and determined they are hetero and never had another experience with a woman. Never wanted another experience. I didn't erase their sexuality. There are people that experiment once, never do that again. To me, that's could very well be Stephanie. -

Agreed. I don't think she catfished her, I don't think she pretended to be in love with Erika. I don't think she pretended to be in love with Erika thinking a faux lesbianism would bring in clicks. I think if this was for clicks, she'd be making out with her on camera like it was some hot romance. Maybe it's just Erika and that she will find another woman to fall for and it will be hot and heavy. But I doubt it. -

sasha206 replied to kendi's topic in 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days
I've questioned her sexuality, but I'm not prude shaming her at all. I don't think anyone is saying she should be putting out, but for someone that seemed so certain this was her soul mate, she sure seems to be repulsed by Erika. Sure, there's a possibility that she got there and there was no spark whatsoever. But it also seems extremely unlikely that someone could think "chubby Erika and her ridiculous nose ring and Lucky Charms bowl cut hairdo" could look that much worse in person than on a computer screen. It seems more possible to me that someone who doesn't consider herself as gay, did a little handle holding, got kissed and suddenly realized that she was bicurious and not as curious anymore. It would be like Geoffrey saying he wasn't gay, but Ed was his soul mate/boyfriend, video chatting with Ed, talking about how can't wait to kiss him, then he sees Ed in person and doesn't want to have sex with him. Now would you really say, "Maybe his no neck, fatness, and shortness looks worse in person than on the computer screen?" (Sorry for that visual). -

Ah, for some reason I thought she lived in Moscow! You're probably right. Geoffrey is probably a lot better looking than most of the American men looking for a Russian. Most of them probably are Dave/Ed-ish. -

sasha206 replied to kendi's topic in 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days
Totally. It would be reasonable if Erika did those selfies that look nothing like the person in real life. But these two have video chatted. Erika is exactly that person. The only other possibility that could explain what seems to be repulsion is if Erika has chronic halitosis and body odor is completely offensive. That's why I've been leaning toward Stephanie thought she wanted a relationship with a woman but then realized she's not only NOT gay, she's NOT bi either. And I know people don't want to be boxed in, but if you're not gay, how can you even be bi? Is it that you are really pansexual? You fell in love with the person but would not normally be attracted to someone of the same sex? I know I sound like a dumb hetereo, but if Steph says isn't gay, she gets there and seems to not want any sexual contact with Erika other than hand holding, it seems perfectly okay to question her sexuality and whether she really wants to be with a woman. -

sasha206 replied to kendi's topic in 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days
Thank you for this. And this is good perspective. It's just that before she met, Stephanie made it sound like they are soulmates. And she's put up tremendous barriers within the first few hours to any sexual contact; not even actual kissing. Have you chatted online to someone as though you are going to spend the rest of your life with that person? Then got there and zero chemistry? To me, it sounds like you'e had normal convos, then met someone for a typical date, and there's no spark. They are on a show called 90 Day Fiance. The premise is you're so sure that this person is the right person you are on the path to marry them and start the process. That's not to say that all get married or find that spark right away, but Steph was so sure before they met that this was on that path. She did say she wasn't gay, but she's in a lesbian relationship where she hasn't even explored lesbianism sexually and doesn't seem to even want to. Maybe she's bisexual. Or maybe she's someone that was bi-curious and then determines once it starts happening they just aren't into women. I have a few friends who did this. They had a girl crush on someone. It was exciting to them b/c they had never done anything and wanted to try. But when it came down to sex, they stopped after kissing bc they discovered they just aren't bisexual even. What we do know is that she's video chatted this woman. They've had enough chemistry that she's flying across the globe and on a 90 day fiance show. That she couldn't wait to kiss her. Then she gets there and seems to be repulsed. That's why most of us are wondering b/c usually when you have that much chemistry with someone that you've talked to, with multiple video chats for a long time, you have so much pent up sexual energy that you'd at least have a few passionate kisses as soon as you meet before you realize that you aren't perfect for each other. Erika seems to be everything she was on her videos and therefore we are all speculating what could have gone so wrong that almost immediately Erika is putting up walls to stop any sexual activity other than hand holding and a few non-passionate kisses. That's why some of us, including me, are questioning whether she was curious, then realized this isn't for her at all and maybe she's not bisexual. She doesn't seem remotely interested in exploring the sexual side that she said she couldn't wait to explore. We aren't erasing her sexuality, just speculating that maybe she got there and realized she is what she said -- not gay. And that she may not be bi even. Also, I apologize for this heterosplaining post. I just read it back and it sounds that way. I'd go back and edit out what sounds super obnoxious but then I probably wouldn't have much of a post! Your points are really valid and I appreciated them. Sometimes there just isn't any chemistry at all and it isn't explainable. And welcome here! -

Am I the only one that thought he has and he was acting and she was acting her response? She didn't really seem all that upset and shocked like you'd think if you just found out your BF was in prison. -
I didn't even know that MAF had a spin-off franchise called Second Chances, but there is one and it's airing on Hulu with David Norton and Vanessa Nelson. Anyone else watching? It's like bad Bachelor, with women ridiculously throwing themselves at David Norton, extreme dork. And you can tell some producer shenanigans are at play with the women he hasn't sent home. Unlike the Bachelor, there are some chubby women that David supposedly chose but they don't seem to get any airtime. I love Vanessa, so I can watch her in anything. Anyone else see this? If not, want to join in with some comments w/o giving away spoilers? Only on episode 2!
