She was hired because of who her dad is. I'm not sure if TPTB knew what a trainwreck she was going to be but her daily meltdowns/pity parties get a lot of media attention. Back in Geddie's day that was called making sparks and was appreciated by ABC.

I do find their friendship odd. Personally I couldn't be friends with someone who aligned themselves with a party who actively tried to discriminate against me.

I wonder if Meghan would even be a Republican if she hadn't been raised in a Republican family. Some of her beliefs are not in line with the Republican party agenda. With her dad dying maybe she feels like she has to continue his legacy or whatever. Not a lot of kids of politicians come out as being of a different political persuasion than their parent. Patti Davis and Ron Reagan Jr. being exceptions.

So Meghan doesn't like to be lectured but all she seems to do is lecture the viewers daily about "her people." Alrighty then. Color me confused. Meghan wasn't a Trump supporter right? So why does she constantly defend and make excuses for them? They are the reason he is in office and scaring the hell out of all of us. I have no idea which side of the Republican party Meghan is for. With Ana I get a clear idea of where she falls but MM is all over the place.

Commentator, pundit, analyst. These are all terms that get thrown around a lot lately. Nowadays anyone with an opinion thinks they are qualified to be considered as such. If her father was not John McCain NOBODY would be asking let alone paying Meghan for her view on anything.

Trump probably thought he could control the narrative. That the book would show him in a favorable light. If that is Greta's only defense of Hannity then Greta needs better judgment in choosing friends. I think Meghan is going to become even more shrill as we get closer to the midterms. As the resident Republican at the View she has her work cut out for her if she is going to try to rally support for the party.

Aren't Republicans Meghan's "people"? Isn't that what she is always saying? While it is true the United States does not allow the stoning of gay people let's not kid ourselves and pretend there isn't plenty of other ways gay people are hurt and discriminated against in this country.

Meghan isn't in any danger of losing any rights under Trumps administration so she doesn't understand why other people are protesting

I've always been baffled how she has continued to remain in the public eye. She is just so awful in every way. Maybe this will be what finally gets rid of her.

I wonder if in real life Meghan revolves her life around being a Republican. I have a friend who is a Republican who refuses to watch movies that star certain actors because she says they are liberal.
