  1. Ha ha, Kate filing her nails would have been hilarious! Of course, not appropriate, blah blah, but that would have been awesome. I also was a fan of the split screen.
  2. Ha! When she took them off and flung them down, I assume they hit the ground as opposed to a table or chair. When the crowd came over to see what was going on, I was sure the earrings were stepped on and ruined. Yet they were back in her ears soon enough. Yuck! And... that's what I got out of this episode.
  3. When JJ spilled the soda on himself, it appeared Casey started to crack up for a second. I love that- though I am also the person who lives for SNL cast members getting the giggles in the middle of a skit. Rory and the exploding napkins got a chuckle out of me.
  4. Thanks to those who post the deleted scenes! Which begs the question-- are scenes cut from every episode? I thought soaps moved at such a fast pace that they had no time to spare, but they apparently are filming more than they can air?
  5. I am a sucker for soaps decorating for Christmas, and Days does an excellent job. I was pleased yesterday to see my favorite Days Christmas decor- the red and green plaid table clothes at the Brady Pub. Whoo!
  6. In this week's Soap Opera Digest, Scott Clifton mentions the "copious montages." Even the cast can't stand all the flashbacks.
  7. Any other Soap Opera Digest readers notice that the Days write-ups sometimes are a little off? Minor plot points, but for instance, in the 12/15 issue, the write-up about Brady and Melanie states that Melanie hears Theresa's name and gets upset, then Brady comes to her rescue and her big secret is revealed. Unless I missed a large part of the show yesterday, I don't believe Melanie realizes who Theresa is yet. There have been other small details that are a little different in the magazine than what actually happens, I've noticed them more over the last year or so. I just wonder if these tiny discrepancies are because the show tapes so far in advance? Does SOD get plot points early, but then the show is edited and they change?
  8. Totally agree. Silly B Story! (Actually, more like C Story. Definitely not D Story.) :)
  9. I loved the Gil needle scratch-- twice. Laughed out loud and I rewound both times. Just those two parts made the whole episode for me.
  10. OMG, hilarious! Needed this laugh!
  11. It may have been a piece of long jewelry or something, but I swear I saw a tattoo on Mary Beth's left rib cage when Eve was pushing her out the door. Her crop top rode up a little bit and it looked like there was ink. Maybe Mary Beth has a secret bad girl side.
  12. Ha! My husband walked into the room right as Brady was taking off his shirt and sarcastically said, "Of course." I had to assure him it was because it was the "hottest day of the year" and this clothing removal very, very important to the plot. :)
  13. The "huh?" moment for me in this episode was Elizabeth laughing off Taylor being high and calling her her "flower child". This seemed out of character for Elizabeth. Wasn't she furious with Carter's involvement with Crash because of drugs? I thought she would flip out and demand to know if the girls were with Crash, and start yelling at Carter for her negative influence on Taylor. Even if the exposed affair was weighing heavily on her mind, you would think Elizabeth, who has always been shown as an (over)protective mother would react to this... I enjoy David because I just don't know if he is a good guy who can be bad, or a bad guy that can be good. And I felt like I missed something (maybe I did): I know he spoke to Lori on the phone at the end of the last episode, but did he know she was not going to show up? Was a meeting ever scheduled? If not, that was pretty cruel of him to do to Carter.
  14. Yes! I had flashbacks to her twirling on the diving board when she was on her black market anti-anxiety meds.
  15. I did not notice that-- good catch! I love little details like that.
  16. I could be wrong, but it appeared that after Kate and Mr. Rayburn walked by at TBD, a man at a table of three leaned over and whispered something about Kate to the others. I thought it was a clever little nuance. I always wonder about what the nameless Salemites think of our key players. How much thought do they give to their goings on? Or is the town so messed up, anything goes?
  17. My problem with Maya at the beginning was the god-awful hair! I started to like her more once she apparently could afford good hair treatment. I know. I am shallow. KM is very interactive on Twitter, so she and Maya hold a special place in my heart. :)
  18. I agree. Alison looks great with the darker hair. I personally think most people look better when staying away from blonde (especially when those dark roots start coming in, ahem, Maxie on GH). I think KM would look much better if she toned down the extremely unnatural blonde hue she has...
  19. I have wondered about interviews with soap actors, not these long ones as much as the one liners that appear in SOD. I always laugh when they say the actor "sighs" as opposed to "says". (For example, "Abby has a hard decision to make," sighs Mansi.) Is the magazine reaching out to actors for a sentence or two about the plot? Or pulling it from longer interviews?
  20. Closed captioning said "D". I thought that was why the guys were laughing, because after T calling his date five different names, she in the end didn't know his either. I thought it was a cute scene! I thought the character could be/was ruined after he was so blatantly homophobic after Will came out.
  21. So what is the reason for Days taping so far in advance, compared to other soaps? SOD had a current on-set picture and there were Halloween decorations in it.
  22. Hope holding her cat was a nice continuity, but a bit random, I thought. Maybe Scott brought his cat IRL to work for the day and they threw her into the scene? I watch soaps early in the morning while I work out, and to not disturb the rest of my sleeping family, I mute the TV and read the CC. Odd, but it has become the main way I view soaps. Anyway, I had a little extra time and watched B&B episode this afternoon, volume on. I do love how the soundtrack is so soapy, almost the stereotypical soap music without the organs. The music during Liam and Wyatt's conversation was a bit odd-- it almost sounded like the background music from the GCAC over on Y&R, no?
  23. Days preview from Twitter this morning: http://www.nbc.com/days-of-our-lives/video/weekly-preview-61614/2789778 I wonder what it is Sami sees out the window? So I guess Eve is Paige's mom? I do like the new set, I get a little too excited about new locales. As far as Brady and Theresa waking up on the couch? I can see Brady (or both) passing out on the couch after partying too hard and just waking up there the next morning. And Theresa may be feeling hung over on those mornings, but playing it cool with Brady (I want her hangover remedy.) Also, if she is used to starting her days with bloody Marys and drugs early, she has probably built up quite a tolerance!
  24. Here's hoping that this clip is on The Soup tonight.
  25. When do these promos air? Friday and Saturday nights? I see them sometimes when watching Dateline. Wish they would air them during primetime, they might lure back in an old soap fan or interest a new one. Definitely not just you! I see it as well.
